Recruiting for FC questions

i have a question not sure this goe in this thread but..what’s the best way to recruit for an FC I’m a little new at this and would love to learn the best I can maximize on things such a this and running one. If anyone can help me out that would be awesome

You're likely already aware of the shouts people do in the various major cities in the game, it's hard to play without encountering them. That's one way.

Another is to make recruitment posts on websites. From what I know people usually make a recruitment post in the community forum dedicated to their server which is here in your case, a post in the Companies section or posts in this subreddit.

A word of advice; don't throw fc invites at players without even speaking to them. It's rude and intrusive.

As for running a fc, well I already touched on this in another thread, it's a lengthy post but might be worth a read.

In-game Channel:
- According to my experience, you can recruit sprout at 3 city state by talking one by one.
- You may experience that member of some FCs shout in town for recruiting member.
- Some FCs post in Party Finder too.

If Community Team of Western FFXIV can help, it'll be good too!
For an example, I saw @FF_XIV_JP retweeted message of FFXIV player with #うちのFCにおいでよ last month.
They helped on Public Relations of some Free companies.
As I know, some FCs recruited new member because of that.
I think it's good idea. At present, that hashtag still alive in Japanese Twitter User Community.　

I think Community Team should do the same too. By the way, Reddit is good channel too as Penthea said.

As a former FC leader of 4 or so years what i have learned and from personal experience is if you do shout don't be overly repetitive. Players get tired of seeing the same shout all the time and i myself would not join a FC because of that.
Use various media sources so the server section of the forum, reddit and other FF forums.
Do not (this is absolute) randomly invite players.
Overall be positive and polite and do not get discouraged.

One of my former FC leaders asked a friend of his (who was the leader of one of the most largest and successful FCs on the server) about recruiting and the friend suggested to "send /tells to recruit, not shouts. It makes it more intimate/appealing." I would have to agree with this sentiment.

However, what I think my FC leader did wrong was simply just sending /tells. He didn't meet avatar-to-avatar. What he did was made a list of people to /tell and people he already /tell'd, so he could a.) send /tells from anywhere, b.) not bother people again. While B is good, I mistook him for a bot because of A and wasn't inclined, and I wasn't the only one who mistook him as a bot. XD The cofounder of the first FC I ever joined actually stood in front of me, emoted me, and then proceeded to invite me by /tell. Generally, people responded better to that approach.
