More Veterans Reward

I don't think vet rewards should come back, achievement certificates already intend to award long term players, except by actually playing the game instead of just letting their sub run. I do think achievement certificate items should receive a bump in cost, atm someone could buy everything with very few certificates.

Also whatever outfits they add in the future as veteran rewards ideally need to be unisex, and work on all genders/races. Some of the ideas such as Shantotto and Yuffie wouldn't look exactly great on male characters, and neither would Sephiroth on female.

Shantotto's outfit would work just as well on male characters though as it's a unisex outfit attainable by players in FFXI called the 'Tactician's Magician' set (as long as they were Windurstian - kind of like FFXI's version of Grand Company gear). Even her staff was a FFXI staff that players could get (the level 51 Fire Staff). The only piece of the set she didn't wear was the hat.

And as we already have some armour from FFXI here in FFXIV (in the form of the 'Wootz' tank and LNC/DRG armour that has the exact same design as FFXI's Koenig and Ares armour), it's definitely possible to bring that particular armour set into the game (goddess knows mages need some love as far as glamour gear goes ).

I'd love more stuff to spend my achievement certificates on. it'd be nice if we could at least get ventures or something with them.

I'd LOVE to get the full onion Knight stuff. But instead of 'just' the Onion Knight version, there's also the ninja/sage versions of the outfit that you get to see in Final Fantasy Dissidia/Duodecim.

There were also two other versions of the Onion Helm, the Red Onion Helm and Peregrine Onion Helm also from 1.0, but as far as I'm aware only the Red Onion Helm can be gained in ARR - it too can be gained through Retainer Quick Ventures.

I could have SWORN up and down and all around I got my Red Onion helm from Dzmael Darkhold. It was in one of those random chests. Must have changed the drop I guess.

Of course that's not to say a certain gender doesn't deserve a trademark outfit, but something a bit more neutral will be more welcome I think, so Noctis definitely would work quite well or Bartz and Vayne to name a few.

I can see Shantotto on males, it's pretty simplistic design...you're right about my Yuffie suggestion though.

Hope they add female characters outfits since all the rest was from guy characters. For new veteran rewards. I would love to see a Rydia outfit.

I disagree, I think we just need far more things to spend them on. Put aetheryte tokens in there and I'll be spent lol.

Yeah, it would be counter-intuitive to add more veteran rewards when they already had enough to span 4 years previously but got too many newer players complaining that they would have to wait several years to access them and so they decided to rework it to only 330 days to get all rewards.

It was kind of a nice little tip of the hat for long time subscribers who had been supporting them since the start but it was inevitable that it would need to change since the long time rewards were too great (favorite final fantasy character cosplays? Everyone is going to want those, SE....) and the lifespan of an mmo is always uncertain anyway. Sad, but true. Many people argued that the game may not even last another 4 or 5 years to get all the rewards.

I agree they should start adding more items that we can get with the achievement certificates i'd say 13-2 lightning's knight of etro armor and weapons and lighting returns her outfit and weaposn there at least the crimson blade and lotus shield for pld then other weapons for the other jobs plus stuff from ff15 as the lastest game from the final fantasy universe i'm sure there's other stuff they could add to it as well from other games that fans would love.
