More Veterans Reward

Keep in mind that this is my personal list so anything pretty much goes.

I just thought we can have some more Veteran Rewards considering we stopped at Leonheart at day 330. So here what I was thinking...

Starting from 5 to....11 I guess?
Should I give my reasons? I guess I should...

5) Sephiroth
Cause he's motherfreaking Sephiroth

6) Onion Knight
Cause we just got to have the REAL Onion knight outfit

7) Shantotto
Cause I like her outfit, in truth it won't look so well for other races, but it is ideal for Lalafell players, especially for those who like to cosplay. And this snarky, sadistic lil thing

8) Cecil Harvey
I just like his outfit and it reminds me of the "Wild Rose" Veteran Reward

9) Hope Esthiem
Because I was a huge fan of him when I saw him...he was relatable for me.

10) Yuffie Kisaragi
I really liked her design it was very unique for its time. However I would like the up to date design, not the past one. Or you know the KH version is okay too. Actually...I don't know which I like more... SE do whatever ya want with Yuffie!

11) Noctis Lucis Caelum
Because he is the most recent protagonist of the Final Fantasy series.

Now I know some of you have different opinions as to what you think should be some good Veteran Reward (Past FF Character Sets), so please feel free to leave a comment! I'd like to hear and Google about them or leave a Picture!

They moved the veteran rewards to the achievement certificate system so new players will also have access to those items.

If the OP's request is to add more items to that, I'm all for it. I've got plenty of achievement certificates and nothing to buy because I've already got it all. I suspect even newer players would like more to choose from since the achievement points build up fairly quickly.

Considering it took around 4 years or whatever it was to reach the final veteran reward, yes. The length of time to get all of them was a bit much, so they moved all but the character gear sets to the achievement point system and cut down the time for the gear sets tremendously. They did add the magitek death claw mount and the komainu minion to the achievement shop, but that's pretty much been in as far as new things. Can't remember if there's been anything else added.

It would be nice to have some way of rewarding players for sticking with the game long term, doesn’t have to be specific in-game items, even an accumulation of tokens that can be used to buy from a list of items would be nice.

As others have already mentioned, SE cleared out most of the Veteran Rewards when Stormblood launched, reducing it from fourteen levels to just four, and moving the gear and items that the Veteran Rewards formerly granted to the Achievement Certificate system. So they're not going to add anything new to Veteran Rewards now.

As for your own ideas for gear Trixie, several of them are already in the game in certain forms, but not as Veteran Rewards:

6) Onion Knight

There are several different versions of 'Onion' attire already in the game, and no less than 3 different versions of the iconic helm! The original 'Onion' set was a palette swap of the generic 'doublet' set usually found as crafter/gatherer gear that was originally gained in Version 1.0 through certain special levequests, but now in ARR has a very low chance of being brought back by Retainer Quick Ventures... except the helm, which is only attainable by registering a special code that came with the Collector's Edition of FFXIV version 1.0 (now extremely hard to find).

There were also two other versions of the Onion Helm, the Red Onion Helm and Peregrine Onion Helm also from 1.0, but as far as I'm aware only the Red Onion Helm can be gained in ARR - it too can be gained through Retainer Quick Ventures.

The second Onion set is specifically LNC/DRG's set from Labyrinth of the Ancients (although it's head wear is not a helm but headgear, the actual Onion Helm goes really good with this set).

An Onion Shield is also available for GLA/PLD from a vendor in Revenant's Toll.

8) Cecil Harvey

Technically Cecil's PLD sprite serves as the basis for the PLD AF1/AF1.5 sets (note the coronet especially).

Also the Amano design for his DRK helm and PLD headgear are (or were) available by as the 'Baron Helm' and 'Baron Circlet' respectively by registering the Collector's Edition of Heavensward and pre-ordering Heavensward for each (naturally, this is no longer available).

It would be nice to get the rest of both sets to go with them though, but I think it's unlikely by this point sadly.

I could have SWORN up and down and all around I got my Red Onion helm from Dzmael Darkhold. It was in one of those random chests. Must have changed the drop I guess.

Nah, can't you see? The lack of veteran rewards has coincided with more cash shop items.
