    That seems like a relatively poor reason -- this is a game, you should never purposely want to deter people from playing certain portions of it. And again, I'm not asking for it to be easy, I'm asking for it to be fun. I enjoy challenge, but the biggest challenge is not going insane while crafting anything.

    Besides, your assertion is incorrect -- there are those who simply don't enjoy crafting, regardless of minigames or 'deterrents'. As it is, I enjoy crafting, but if absolutely nothing else, it takes way too damn long to complete any single craft, and the system itself is fairly banal, in spite of its interesting concept.

    It may indeed be a poor reason, I would not argue with that. But perhaps they could not decide a better way to try and limit the number of people who become crafters?

    And yes, no matter how fun it is, some people may still choose not to do it. But I think if it was fun and enjoyable to do, there would be more crafters than there are now?

    Again, pure speculation, but something tells me they want to have some way to limit the number of people choosing to be crafters.

    Either that or the present implementation is the developer's idea of fun! And that's a scarry thought indeed!
