Treoretical: yes.
Practical: the encounters aren't designed around rescue. You will be fine if you know how and when to move.
Why the hell should I do the work for you? I already have to compensate for every misstep of the group as best I can.
There is a sprint for a reason. Use it.

Our healer has pulled out some clutch saves with rescue, though I will be lying if I said I have not seen them troll the hell out of people with it. Really though should we remove every skill that has the potential to be used in a trolling manner? Aggro transfers, and ast cards come to minds that can be used in a trolling manner, should we remove those skills?

Man I love to rescue people. I saved so many with it. Susano Ex, does anyone else remember the days of rescue pulling dps in? I've rescued so many people drowning in the new alliance raid mechanic that I don't understand the hate. Esuna is worthless atm in stomblood content. I have not needed to Esuna in a long time. So I do shelf Esuna for Rescue and let me tell you its so nice - I wish they lowered the CD I would love to save the same person who has latency issues from mechs. I know they must be bashing their head into the wall when they die. So a little more rescue goes a long way.

I think there is nothing wrong with skill.
It's good and useful.
It's just...someone used it in bad way.

I still want "Rescue" because it's useful in many situations.

Problem: "Oh there's nothing to do on my downtime on my healer because I'm a green DPS"/s
Solution from SE: "Here's something you can do, Rescue!"
Result: "Trolling"

Seriously, I've seen quite a few places where Rescue could optionally be used, but they're along the lines of "pulling player out of a animation/stun" lock more than anything else, and that has limited strategic value unless the target was already squishy.

Why I didn't bother to even do it is because I am pretty sure they will get away without anything, so I'll just waste my time.
Give a tool to trolls to harass people, but at the same time it isn't much of an offense so that even if trolls use it, they won't risk much... or nothing at all (most probably this).

Titan (Hard) it trials roulette.

Healer Rescues me into the part of the arena that falls of when he jumps in the early parts of the fight, there is not enough time to get into safety, and we both fall off.

Cue the "OMG BAD TANK! U SUCK!" screaming in my direction because i "Suicided"
Because apparantly the healer being an ass is somehow my fault.

The group manages to wipe, and when the fight resets i respond by spamming the /Slap emote at the healer while calling him a asshat, because he is.
And the healer goes absolutely ballistic, because i am not allowed to get mad at him for what he did, and the whole thing devolves into a flame war.


And then there's the whole "Pull the tank into the group just before a large cleave so the boss turns and murders the whole party, then blame the tank for it" thing going around.

Yes, i'm an idiot who wipes the party because the healer decides to forcibly relocate me so the boss turns just before a cleave...
