I'd go the other way and make it baseline for all healers - along with Esuna.
Stormblood sold it as a sparkly new WHM ability and I haven't used it once.

Well after the initial first posters/trollers/mic droppers we had some constructive discussion, and from all that brainstorming came the most evident solution : keep the skill in game but make it possible to disable it on yourself.
So if it becomes a baseline skill why not, I honestly don't care now : as long as I can make it inactive on me, no problem.

The WoW version Leap of Faith is a Priest ability which, while still situational, works better due to the general responsiveness of the game and doesn't suffer from animation locks.
What was (or is - I haven't played for a bout a year) cool is that you could glyph (modify) it to reverse the effect and you could 'pull' yourself to the target instead. Super useful as Holy Priests are pretty stationary.
As mentioned before you could get a buff to negate the effects - but generally I didn't come across that much trolling with it - as it is limited to Priests only.
What I do miss however is Mind Control. I don't think there is anything more satisfying than controlling an enemy player and walking them into the void in an Eye of the Storm PVP match.

The only time I've experienced Rescue used for trolling purposes is in NEST videos. Healers rarely use it as it's a nigh useless ability. I've only had it used on me once, and while it wasn't necessary I didn't die.
I don't feel that it's necessary to remove Rescue, despite the potential for trolling.
But the real travesty here is that they removed Ring of Thorns. I miss my pole dancing.
I miss the days of Mind Controlling enemy players off of the Great Lift at the border of the Barrens and Thousand Needles. Sadly, you can't do that anymore as you don't take fall damage from water.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.

MCing over the cliffs in Outlands was far more fun.
Forced Spirit healer rezzes.![]()
I've never seen rescue used for trolling, but I've seen lot of tanks troll with provoke, shirk and boss cleaves. If you deleted everything that could be used for trolling, you'd have to delete tanks.

You know even the best intentions and go bad....
My friend rescued me from one aoe just to accidentally pull me into another that spawned right after he used the ability....
That being said the useage for legitimate trolling is very low.
Report and move on.
"Within each of us, the potential for great power waits to be released."

The entire point of the skill is to quickly pull someone out of a dangerous situation or to pull someone back into range who lacks a gap closer. Adding a confirmation box to it defeats the purpose, making it even less relevant to use than it is right now.Neri had a pretty good idea
That's quite the achievement.
If your problem is the skill it will be something totally useless, because the same people who use it to troll will continue doing it without it, they will find new ways to do it, the skill will disappear and the troll will continue to exist, they should endeavor to denounce the people who do it.
If your problem is the frequency of use of the skill it would be another issue separately, because I personally do not use it, but that does not mean that other healers do not.
I hope my comment is understood because I do not speak perfect English. REGARDS

I like Rescue. The healer in my static uses it on me (or other melee DPS) to quickly get me out of Limit Break animation lock.
