In the end, I didn't report that healer... because well, I have better things to do... but will definitely consider taking time to fill a report next time because I can't let a few toxic players ruin a great community that is already suffering from a few rotten apples.

I even start doubting you use Rescue to "save sprouts"... but to actually harrass people, hence your hostility when I am pointing out those behaviours.

((There have been soo many of these threads by now)) Rescue is a godsend to healers who are stuck with tanks and dps who want to play "How many vuln down stacks can I get?". I've used it countless times as a healer in Experts to pull people out of avoidable aoes so I don't have to waste extra mp healing or ressing them. If anything rescue needs a lower cd. Others have also pointed out that it is hardly the only ability used to troll, but you don't see anyone advocating for those abilities to be removed. Just report and move on.

Everybody here keep saying they've been using it to save people.... OK, but on the other hand, do you think trolls are going to come in here and tell you that they use it to harass people ?
No matter how skilled you guys are at using it, the fact is that it is used by trolls 2 times out of 3, that's what I experienced so far, ever since that skill was added.
Else, when it is used genuinely in a rescue attempt, it's just failure after failure, with the occasionnal win, but you can hardly remember it...

While yea, it can be used as quite a effective trolling method, I still don't think Rescue should be removed outright.

There are plenty of people that are using the skill correctly, so getting rid of a skill because of a few morons I think is unnecessary. It's the fault of those using it incorrectly, not the skill itself that is the issue.

There are so many other ways people can troll and kill you, from the healer not healing you, to the tank shirking, just not pulling, or pulling out of Tank stance and just letting the mobs eat you when you eventually pulled hate again.

Why I didn't bother to even do it is because I am pretty sure they will get away without anything, so I'll just waste my time.
Give a tool to trolls to harass people, but at the same time it isn't much of an offense so that even if trolls use it, they won't risk much... or nothing at all (most probably this).

The biggest problem is that unlike shirk or the aggro system, here, you can force a player movement, and important part, against his will.

Just put in the safety net for the rescue. Once cast on someone, a window pop up: 「Do you wish to be rescued?　(Yes) (No)」 then another window pop up after choosing either (yes) or (no) 「Are you absolutely certain? (Yes) (No)」

If you guys find it so useful, then you should have the option to make it effective on you or not (like a invisible debuff or a checkbox in the options ?).
You play with your friend, you "turn it on" and let it have its effect on you.
You play in a pug, you have the possibility to "turn it off", to "decline" Rescues.

I used it to save a lot of people in a multitude of situations, between pulling people onto the tile for Phelgaton, pulling people out of the Tsunami in Famfrit, it has its uses.

People are always gonna grief (I'm no saint here, I did jump from Titan and pull my friend down for laffs near the end) but at the end of the day, legit skill with a good purpose.

As I said earlier, it's OK if you're messing around with a friend. But would you do it to strangers ?

Only at the very end of a fight, when the boss is a sure kill. I do it sometimes and since it doesn't affect anything, its taken in good humour.

Is it tho? No one has ever called me out for pulling them off the edge literally 2-3 seconds before Titan/Ozma/etc die. Not like I do it all the time. Usually get a "lol" or a bit of banter, not like I do it to screw anyone over.
