They are not allowing you to progress too far ahead of the new players (those on the PS3) so this suggestion is pretty much DOA.

Secondly, level other classes you have in the meantime. If you are getting bored, then here's a suggestion: go play other games. There's plenty of titles like Rift, SW:TOR, Skyrim, Amalur, etc. to keep yourself occupied. You're pretty much in the upper 5% of players who've consumed pretty much all that SE has to offer in FFXIV and unfortunately SE doesn't develop or program games to only be enjoyed by that small "elite, hardcore" group. Either wait until 2.0 or go find some other way to derive entertainment from this game ... or just go play other games.
I'm certain you have misunderstood me on multiple levels based on your response. Although tis' unlikely you will return to these forums, let alone this topic, to discover my response to you. Anyhew...

I don't think I mentioned a stat reset. Perhaps I gave the impression that the Job Points were a replacement to the current system as opposed to being on top of the current system or even part of 2.0? And that it somehow it wouldn't also apply to the entire populace of PS3 players SE is expecting (as referenced in the "even while leveling up" you quoted)?

Your second point does not apply to me at all. You would have to be delusional to think I'm in this 5% group of elite or hardcore (5% of forum posters that post pizza and Pikachu with gun threads maybe).

Or that the 393 players on Palamecia alone with all War and Magic classes at 50 constitute 5% of the active subscribers to this game. That's not including folks that only have one or some in the 50's. Do a search for Levels 1-49, then a search of 50's. Whether you think being 50 is elite or hardcore, they are most likely the ones that will carry their subscriptions over to 2.0.

Ah well... we'll see.
