Well now we have seen a bo staff in play, so what class can use that?

What I mean by "tin can tank" is that they're going to wear Fending gear as opposed to any other gear type (i.e. Striking, Casting, Maiming, etc.), not the visual factor.
The other thing to bear in mind is that Chemist is in the top three right now for most demanded jobs that could actually happen, and I would still argue Oracle as a possibility simply because it'd be easier from a development standpoint to work on something they likely still have resources for.
And some final food for thought: if Dark Knight was requested as a DPS and released as a tank, and Samurai requested as a tank and released as a DPS, what makes you think Dancer would be a healer when it could just as easily be a melee DPS in Scouting gear?

God i hope not, because most players that want Dancer added want it as a healer (myself included) and also for frak sakes we have more then enough dps until 6.0, lol
Not to say that they listen to us :/

I know what you mean, but them having tin can gear doesn't take away any aesthetic that at this point has been thrown out the window. All we're really missing is actual robes for tanks and no, the wicca robe doesn't count. What I mean by "tin can tank" is that they're going to wear Fending gear as opposed to any other gear type (i.e. Striking, Casting, Maiming, etc.), not the visual factor.

DRK as a tank does make sense, the issue was that WAR got all the HP absorb abilities before DRK landed, so the current idea for DRK is unorthodox but not far-fetched.
I apologize but I fail to see Chemist and Oracle as "high demand" jobs when every job request thread has Geo, Blu, Dnc and Gunblade as the most in repeat.
Don't get me wrong, I am not betting for any, I'm one of the unpopular opinion holders of fixing the current ones before adding something. And which ever jobs they add, we'll know until fan fest which lands mid 4.4 cycle.

If you say so.
If we are lucky we may get hints in E3 and/or 4.4 update Main Scenario.
At this point all Jobs planned for 5.0 are most likely for certain finalized and maybe already completed. It now just a matter of waiting for their reveal and the developers side focus more on adjusting them before release of 5.0
Also I really hope for healer dancer. I just want to dance!

Chemist (Salve Maker)
FFwiki entry: Their main weapons are daggers, guns, and rods. They are best known for their abilities involving various items. Usually, this involves having an exclusive access to special items, doubling the potency of recovery items, and most importantly, their unique ability Mix allows them to combine two items into one. They also can heal party members for free.
Dancer
I am not exactly sure how YoshiP would have this job implemented in this game. Dancer has been able to do so many different things in past FF games such as buff party members, debuff enemies and healing. For FFXIV, I can see both Chemist and Dancer originate from Thavnair.
Geomancer
This is another job that has differentiated in past FF games. My personal favorite is Geomancer from Final Fantasy Tactics.
Beastmaster
A whip wielding, tamer of beasts. I am not sure if this can be classified as realistic for 5.0 but it would be a very welcome surprise. Whips have been part of several Final Fantasy games. [Rydia, Quistis, Seven] Bring back the whip, YoshiP!
Please, I just... I need it!Dancer

Realisticly if 5.0 is the Garlean Empire expansion then we may see.....
Gunblade Job Tank or DPS depending on how they want to handle the Job or something that would fit into a Garlean Empire theme Job such as a Modern Assassin Job (Shortsword/Gun Job).
For example of modern assassin job...
If they are going to add a Job that represents the Expansion then Gunblade Job for the Garlean Empire expansion will be the best choice as Gunblades have become the Iconic weapon represented to the Garlean Empire.
A modern assassin job works as well because the Garlean Empire started out as a place where they had no access to magic due to the Garlean's genetics preventing them from using magic. Training in assassination through the use of Guns and swords would fit into their lore because for Garleans they had to compensate for their lack of magic with technology (such as Guns) and physical abilities. It would also make a good co-armor type for Scouting Gears (aka Ninja Gears) and for SE development needs it will save SE time on not needing to develop a entire new set of armor since the Modern Assassin Job shares the Scouting Gears with Rogue/Ninja.
We know in current Lore Garlean Empire also has a aristocracy system in their society with Garlean Nobles being mostly pure blood Garleans and they also deal with politic struggles for power within their society among their Nobility so having skilled Assassins will fit since Garlean Empire did not get Garlean Ninjas until they began invading Othard so there may be a society of skilled Assassins trained to deal with these Garlean Underworld Jobs provided by Garlean Nobles.
So far Monk (Ala Mhigo) and Samurai (Doma) representing for Stormblood and Dragoon (Ishgard) for representing Heavensward.
Considering how the current expansion always had one job representing the Country the WoL is going to I will not be surprised it becomes a common trend to always release new job that can become the expansion's iconic Job for each expansion.
We also know Yoshi-P wants to introduce a New Job into the FF series that is unique to FF14 so plenty of things are possible if they fit into the expansion's theme.
