I always strive to adhere to the established naming conventions in any given setting. I don't like playing characters that feel disconnected from their surroundings.

I chose 'Ryuji Akagane' as my character's name since it adheres to what we'd expect for a character that resides in Hingashi. I didn't do much research into the name itself and simply picked what sounded good from a list of Japanese first and last names. As it turns out, they fit perfectly.

'Ryuji' can translate to 'governor dragon' or 'next dragon'.

'Akagane' translates to 'copper'.

Let's just say that he's a very driven individual when it comes to advancing Hingashi's interests and who is also deeply spiritual and reveres the Kami. If it ever came down to it and he was forced to rely on sheer desperation to succeed then he'd likely try and turn himself into an Eikon...and it'd likely take on the visage of some sort of fire dragon.
