Ravana ex weapon was higher and stronger than Bismarck ex when they were released at the same time. Making Bis ex not worth doing unless you were going for bird or mats.

So this is a problem SE has had for a long time now, they cant seem to figure out how to properly reward/motivate/incentivize their players. Vertical progression is ok to a point, after that you need to expand outwards. Right now, if the gave every new character created a jump potion, they could probably delete all of 2.0 and 3.0 except the zones and no one would notice those things are missing.
At the beginning of 4.0, they did not repeat the same mistake that was Ravana/Bismark by giving accessories to Lakshmi, and weapons to Susanoo, and they got away with it like that.So this is a problem SE has had for a long time now, they cant seem to figure out how to properly reward/motivate/incentivize their players. It's still a far from ideal solution though and I firmly believe that if the developers want to make fun, rewarding and/or lasting content they will need to review seriously how to handle this.
But as SendohJin said, it won't happen mid-expansion...
Yeah, I'd have to agree, they wont make the lasting changes they need to make for at least two expansions out from where they finally decide to make the change. At this stage, 5.0 is most likely done with the major stuff and just polishing up the launch along with the first content injections etc. so unless they decided to have a whole patch dedicated to horizontal character progression during the 2.X cycle, we wont see it. I hope 5.0 we will start to see the move towards more interesting gear rewards but at this point I've all but lost hope for anything more out of this game. I wish they would give us the option to pay for only one week worth of a sub. since thats about all you need to catch up even being a filthy casual such as myself. At the beginning of 4.0, they did not repeat the same mistake that was Ravana/Bismark by giving accessories to Lakshmi, and weapons to Susanoo, and they got away with it like that.

Only with a new skin. I totally feel it too. Been here since 1.0 beta so I'm really feeling the rut they have dug for themselves. Even the story has so much garbage filler that it doesnt even hold my attention anymore. I skipped the last half of 4.0 story and all the addons since yet I still know whats going on and it still has no bearing on the actual game.

Are you new to patches or what? It's never any different. When Eureka launches Pagos I'm sure you're going to complain there's nothing to do after that as well.
Thats exactly the problem. No content in this game has more than a week worth of life in it. But thats how the devs want to run this game "you dont like it, play something else" - Yoshi-P
And actually Eureka is something I'm still kinda enjoying to date. I did delevel from 20 down to 10 to "eLev sync" with some friends (who dont even play now) and i'm now back up to 18. Trying to get back to 20 before Pagos. My gripe about Eureka, this is what the overworld should have been from 2.0 launch, not just a single instance zone.

Please enlighten me as to what other patch has staggered content as deliberately as this one has.
And yes it is different, other patches have had much more to do on arrival even the "catch up" patches do for example, 3.3 had plenty of content to keep people occupied with.
Willing to bet on that statement? I would guess not because if you had read any of what I have posted in this thread I've mentioned that I really enjoy most content that is released and this is the first time I've actually been disappointing with the lack of new options on release of a large scale patch purely due to staggering the content out. So I guess this is just more childish accusations with no grounds attached how tiresome. Yawn.
