Is there any situation in which it may be justified to tell a player to permaquit FFXIV?

On the opposite side, as the player being told this, would it be something to consider if somebody approached you outside of, say, an instance or maybe even outside the game, and said this to you. Just curious.
Have you ever stopped and considered that you might be the antagonist? You've posted over a dozen threads with the same kind of antagonistic language, which all point to attention seeking (there is even a psychological name for this "Histrionic personality disorder") from the raiders.

I don't argue against parsers without reason, and this is specifically the kind of reason why parsers are bad. Until such time the developers of such tools implement a way to specifically opt-in through consent, instead of "opt-out" to being parsed, this kind of drama will continue. It only takes one person using it as bludgeon to make players upset. Upset the wrong person, and that person will be out for blood.

Whatever you did, certainly didn't justify deleting your character, and I assume that earlier instance of your avatar going missing was likely related. If players in the game do not want to be friends with you, then they are under no obligation to do so. If the people on the forum are telling you to stop being destructive to yourself, then they are not doing that out of malice. Any of the armchair psychologists on the forum can see that the game is causing you some kind of mental anguish, so if you think you need to leave the game, just take a break. Contrary to what some raiders seem to think, the game is not a git-gud competition. Either you're having fun, or you're not.

You are not chained to the game. If the game is making you have destructive thoughts, please see an actual professional, and don't use the forums/discord/reddit/etc as a way to gauge your mental health. Social media is bad for your mental health.

Depends on if it is affecting their health/welfare or not. If yes, then they should step back from the game and get their life in order; things like work, school, financial responsibilities (i.e., bills), and family take priority over a game.

This does not mean they have to quit permanently; only until other important things are in a better spot. However, if they are fighting an actual addiction that is affecting their health, quitting may just be in their best interest. The severity of the addiction would be extremely important in making this judgment call.

These are not good reasonings, but I think you already knew that answer.

If this was not a situation where they were wanting the best for my personal welfare but one of the situations you listed above, the mature response would be for me to ignore and blacklist because I don’t have time for that sort of negativity/nonsense; the snarky response would be to tell them that it’s none of their business if I continue to play or not, that I don’t care if they think I’m a bad player/don’t like me, and where they can take their advice and shove it.

Now, I think you haven’t stepped back enough and taken a few deep breaths to calm down. Because I don’t think this thread is just a mere coincidence, or pure curiosity on your part considering recent threads and forum posts, the fact that you server transferred again, and your proclamation about starting over. If, in fact, someone is actually hounding you to quit the game for one of the situations you listed above and not out of a concern for your health, why are you still listening to them and why do you continue to listen to them?

Why let someone else dictate if you can play or not? People online can be cruel as shit, or kind to no extent, pick who you speak to, the friends list and black list exist for a reason. People are always entitled to suggest you quit. You are entitled to make your own choices. If you want to play then play unless if it's causing you issues in your real life (relationship, work, family).

But if you just want a hug because people were being mean I'm not sure this is the best place to look.

Been too many "quit" threads as of late. Just either quit or give the person that's telling you to quit the "Birdie Salute."

Tel someone to take a break if you know them and know they're having issues...if said in the right way for their own health and wellbeing.
On that note, Kaiva are you okay? Your topics lately tell a story of someone being harassed, combined with the change in race to lala and name...has someone wronged you lately? Are you okay? Plenty people here will support you!

I will echo what others have said, if as a friend you feel the person in question well-being is at risk then yeah making the suggestion that they should take a break is warranted. Outside of that I see no valid reason for another person to tell another to stop playing.

I had sent you a message on Discord a few days ago, but you didn’t respond. Please talk to me. I don’t know you but I’m really concerned about you. Please?

Depends if they constantly make threads seeking reassurance from strangers on the internet over incredibly minor issues.
