This game needs more than job changes and more jobs. This game needs a new rotation of content, or get rid of the typical rotation of patch content altogether. Surprise us with something different.
If 5.0 rolls around, and we get another 10 levels with a ilvl cap of 500, patches every 3 months that continue to same boring predictable trend we've experienced for years already, gear that we worked months for that becomes obsolete in months, with only slight increases in stats instead of maybe increasing weapon skills/ability recast times, well, I don't see myself being excited at all for more of the same bland predictable content.
This game needs new ideas and perhaps new leadership that isn't so stubborn about listening to all of the ideas we've already stated a million times over on these forums alone.
I myself grew tired of running daily roulette years ago, and I don't do them usually unless I really need tomes, which are pointless to collect for myself as the gear is obsolete so damn quickly. It's a boring ass treadmill I'm just not going to take part of anymore.

Have certain world mobs effect the market boards... goblin bandits seizing merchant shipments in the shroud causing increased taxes for gridania MB or no MB access until overworld mobs are culled... give people a reason to go out in the world and interact with the non instanced environment...
Actual transformations for Machinist's firearm like what FF13 had with Sazh instead of the ugly Gauss Barrel we have. Aesthetically, it would make Machinist look alot better and less waited with the Gauss Barrel spinning over our firearm, even when it's not touching.
I know that it's probably impossible to do this since all the firearms in-game would probably have to be reworked in order to accomodate this kind of feature. But still, I rather have something different than that annoying god awful Gauss Barrel spinning over my weapon.
there don't even have to do that just give us the ability to make the barrel invisibleActual transformations for Machinist's firearm like what FF13 had with Sazh instead of the ugly Gauss Barrel we have. becoming my enemy would be unwise

/gaussbarrel off

I'd like to see hybrid races (is hybrid the right word?)
Appreciating that we are likely to go to Garlemald, I would enjoy increased interaction with some of the older regions. Garlemald has affected all of Eorzea, so I think that any plotline involving the country must, necessarily, involve all of the nations affected. Not just Lyse and Ala Mhigo.
(In other words... I'd like to visit my Ishgardian friends, SE, please let it happen)

-Ishgard housing
-haukke manor housing skin for outside
-max item limit increase for large mansions. 400 to 600/800.
-give us a true Ranger. Like in FFXI
-give us beastmaster job, also in FFXI
-basically, make the game more challenging like FFXI was in 2003-2005.

OMG number one most needed thing in this game.
More Gil sinks!!!!! Give us twenty mounts to choose from, that run 10-20m Gil from NPCs, not fr any new tomestkne, not quested, ONLY Gil. There are wayyyy too many players with 500m-max Gil that are quitting because there's nothing to buy in this game besides a mansion, one mount and a few glams.
