    Quick question about squadrons

Forgive me if the following is a silly question:

If my current recruits are high level - will the new recruits wanting to enlist be of similar level?

I only ask because if the answer to the above is yes - shouldn't I just wait until I level my current core squad of four to 60, before working on a new squad of four? At least that way, all the new recruits wanting to enlist will be near level 60 already, which cuts out a lot of the levelling process.

    Thanks in advance.

Many thanks. I'll just wait until my first four recruits reach level 60 in that case.

That's going to limit you severely on what squad missions & commands you can take to level. It's better to get a full roster as fast as you can to have a nice variety of roles to fill the required points needed to succeed in the mission or commands. I don't know if you know, but they all level at the same time depending on what you are using to level them. Training levels all eight if available. Squad missions & commands only level the 4 you're using. If you mix and match properly, you'll be leveling them equally together at the same time.

A new recruit's level is determined when you look at their enlistment papers. Take the average level of your recruits, rounded down, then subtract 1.

Not all the way to 60, but get them to around 40 with just the initial 4. You can blow through the low levels with just 4, do three daily training runs then the 18 hour mission. A failed mission still gives half exp, so don't worry about not having a 100% success rate.
