In my opinion they should make savage and ultimate as easy as normal bosses. I have a 40 hour work week with wonky schedule times, so I can't realistically learn these fights and continue to do everything else in the game. Please nerf Square.

For real though, I'm really not in favor of bogging down the majority's gaming experience due to a minority not liking it. Again, the math mechanic is my favorite mechanic out of all of them in the raid XD

Call me bigoted if you want :/ I do realize I'm coming across as ignorant. But I don't want Square to take fun things out of the game.

It's ok to fail the mechanic. Everyone is special in different ways and we have things that we are good and bad at. It's good for the game to have a diverse range of different mechanics and challenges. Try not to feel bad about yourself if you can't do this one. You'll still be able to clear and get the loot. I doubt this particular mechanic will be repeated much in future, if ever. It's just something that fit the theme of that enemy.

thanks for the positive feedback, and i am sure with some of the backlash players are giving we won't see anymore math mechanics, hopefully.. god i hope... but i still need to voice my opinion of something that i don't like just so SE knows this is not a good thing, i've never spoken up about anything in the game until this because i am fine with most of the things in the game and i've been playing since world of darkness was introduced

It seems the gitgud/ skip content people arent understanding the the meaning of the post (chances are they have a complex where they need to feel better about themselves) End of story everyone has a huge issue with things in life that do bleed over in game . I JUST got a colorblind mode after waiting forever and a day for it. You like math? well hows your riddle skills? how you going to feel when something comes out that you want to do cant be done easy as the rest of the game because of your short comings. We all log in to have fun, not get trashed on by someone who cant look past their own need to feel superior to someone else (happens when ya mess up in the raid, we all had it happen to us in one way or another) Want hard raids? this game has never had true hard raids like back in the birth of the MMO age.

On ressurections, DO NOT accept one during the math phase if you died before subtract. Your health will show you being at your normal health BUT you will have 0 health for the purpose of the math questions...which also means anything above 4 cannot be obtained and thus will be failed.

I would still probably advocate for getting up. Even with 4 being the maximum number you can obtain without the Subtraction buff, that means the only question you won't be able to answer is Divisible by Five. Otherwise, you can do Three (stand on three), Four (stand on four), and Prime (stand on two or three) just fine.

It's so sad that you're advocating the removal of a mechanic for such a selfish reason. Just because you have a problem with it doesn't make it a bad mechanic and doesn't mean SE needs to remove it. Like I said in my previous reply, advocating for the removal of a mechanic just because some people have a disability that makes it nigh impossible for them to do it means you may as well advocate for the removal of any mechanic that makes the boss do more than just stand in one spot the entire fight.

I'm an adult so I would either try to find a workaround or I would simply not do the content. I wouldn't throw a fit and ask for the entire mechanic to be thrown out the window. Like I said above and in my previous reply, there's always going to be someone, somewhere that has a disability or shortcoming that will make it hard for them to complete certain mechanics. If we remove Computation because some people have Dyscalculia, by that silly logic we need to remove all other mechanics too to make the game fair for all other differently abled players.

While I don't agree that the mechanic needs to be removed, there are a lot of people ragging on those who are trying to find workarounds like charts or whatever to try and solve the mechanic (see the thread that is currently right below this one lol) so I'd argue more understanding needs to come from the community.

We've already suggested to let the party know about potential struggles. In my experience the community is very understanding when it comes to stuff like that.

I actually don't do any calculations beforehand. (mental math is not my strong suit anyway, but thankfully these are only single digit numbers XD)

I see my HP number, I see what construction 7 wants, then I run through the circles one by one until I find a number that matches. (or I stay outside a circle if the number already matches)
I have trouble focusing sometimes, so this has worked well enough for the most part, though I've been too slow a few times.
