This is my favorite mechanic out of all the boss fights in Ridorana, it'd be a shame to have it go.

This discussion reminds me of when people called Cuphead an "ableist" game. Meaning people who weren't good at video games couldn't get very far in it, and that caused controversy.

Personally I like having new and interesting mechanics. I wouldn't mind if we had more math-based ones in the future.

Or, heck there's another way you could do it without a piece of paper by counting on your fingers:

Look at your current HP number. Wait for him to tell you what he wants. Count on your fingers and ask yourself each time "is this divisible?"

Example: You get 1 and he asks for a multiple of 4.

1: Is this divisible by 4? no.
2: Is this divisible by 4? no. (holding 1 finger up)
3: Is this divisible by 4? no. (holding 2 fingers up)
4: Is this divisible by 4? Yes. (holding 3 fingers up)

    Stand on 3.

Given the fact that there are only 4 circles to stand on, you only need to do this a maximum of 5 times, and you get roughly 2 seconds per calculation.

Something that might make it easier for some is on the first computation, the boss would have us "add up to a certain number". That is what the mechanic actually after all yet I've seen quite a few people get very confused due to thinking the "Subtract" channel the boss uses to reduce our HP is actually what you are supposed to do for the mechanic, or think that you are supposed to muliply or divide your number isntead.

The second computation can still be the "make a prime number" and "make it divisible by X number" due to the first one already showing you for sure what to do.

As some others have said as well the boss does no attacks for this phase, nothing to heal or anything till it ends. The damage buff you get from doing the mechanic right vastly outqeighs the damage you can do to the boss during the phase so just concentrating on the mechanic is fine.

It's very unfair for this game to use visuals on a monitor for a complete game experience, this is not catering to the blind population making the game mostly unplayable by them. This is not OK Squeenix.

seriously don't bother explaining the mechanic to me, its sometimes like you're speaking another language to me when talking about math, i simply don't get it, at all... for those saying to write down the answers or such, it would still take me longer then 10 seconds to refer to the sheet and then do the thing in game, like this sorta mechanic i could understand being in savage but not in a 24 player raid

seriously try living in the shoes of someone with a learning disability, try it, try sacraficing you normally would use to play the game, like one of your hands or get reshade and play with dof always on, try avoid using number keys entirely and just use your mouse clicker for casting and such, this is basically the difficulty of having a learning disability, it makes simple things like multiplications and division difficult

There are people who have no hands and play video games, some play at levels better then people with hands. There secret is not letting their disabillity get the best of them not giving up, the moment you say I can't do this your disability wins and you are forever on the road of losing too it.

like i don't think you guys get it, its not simple for me and those who have trouble with math in general or remembering numbers... if the mechanic doesn't change in some way or isn't removed i simply will ignore the mechanic and not care and i am sure i'm not the only one who will have that mentallity.. if this game gets more mechanics like in the future i will just stop playing all together

then just get ready to die and carry one, after the two computations there is still things to do after that and since it's not something you can't anything about, just carry on and get ready for the next mechanics. Don't take things for everyone else if it's not something you can't do, after all there are others thing you can, right?

I can understand that it would be disheartening for a few because they would find the mechanic stressful. Inevitably, though it is simple math, everyone thinks differently and some take longer to calculate these sorts of things. However, the truth of the matter is that a majority are able and this is completely optional content. Nothing is really necessary from this raid; it's side content for people who may enjoy it or are too impatient to grind for mendacity tomes, as I understand. If you aren't a fan of it, then you don't have to run it. I personally love the mechanic; I think its a fun to have to pause and quickly think out a small problem in the middle of the fight.
