Is Samurai a difficult class to play?

I mean to ask because I was told that if you dont know how to play SAM, youre autistic.

Of course I disagree, but I just want people's insight on the difficuly of the class, and whatnot. I personally would like to play it. But if it is very difficult then I may be unable to. Ive been a healer main my entire time playing XIV. I just want to be able to play something else efficiently, but I feel like an idiot when people try to explain and I dont get it. :c

In my opinion (Granted, that's not worth much because mine is only Level 53.) it's a simple class to get into and understand, but the skill gap between a decent/average SAM and a god-tier SAM is HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE.

Samurai is probably the most forgiving and flexible melee dps. The only class I can think that is more so is RDM.

No SAM is not difficult to play but most SAM are just bad.

SMN is harder too, if you are actually playing it properly and making optimal use of its many CDs.

I gave up playing BLM because the lag levels I get on an NA server just aren't fun, whereas they're not as punishing on SAM. I don't really like the style or aesthetic of the other melee jobs.

Every dps class, besides RDM, is harder than SAM.

Samurai is definitely the easiest of the melee at least. Their guage never drops, their positionals are pretty easy to hit. All you really need to do is keep your self buffs up which are pretty long to begin with.

It gets a bit harder when you go into optimizing their damage, but for casual-midcore play, it's very easy to get into.
