It's just so unfortunate. After logging in for 15 minutes, it's obvious to begin seeing rubberbanding, and the lag that can happen in a dungeon will either crash the game on me, or I lag out for 10 seconds, which basically means I've been no help - whatsoever - in tanking the group, sometimes leading to a wipe, but definitely causing frustration. It was the worst during Byakko where I would no longer see the game progress during his initial "bullet hell" moment, and then again, during the end phase I would still be connected, and chatting w/ the group, but be lagged out, until they beat Byakko or lost. It's to the point that I don't want to join end game runs with friends and other players because I know my connection will be the weak leak.

Then, on top of all of this, I come to the forums and find almost 100+ people talking about similar issues, causing the game to lose its enjoyment, proving that the service responsible is SE's ISP, only to see us turned away by the moderators w/ boiler plate statements of, "your eyes deceive you. The facts are false, it's actually your ISP." Most of these people will come back after calling their ISP being told by them it is actually SE problem. Is this issue even going anywhere inside the company? We need more information as to *why* the response is that it's not SE's problem.

I almost feel like it's come down to the dev's talking to NTT (FFXIV's ISP), and them saying that it would cost SE more money to gain a more reliable connection, and SE has decided that instead of paying that, they would ask their customers to complain down the food chain, hoping that enough complaints going to the lower ISP's will eventually bulldoze NTT to give the more reliable connection at no cost. On paper, okay, solid plan. The reality is that the lower ISP's aren't making any complaints. We, the paying customers, are being left to rot in this hell, wanting to enjoy this beautiful game, but being given the cold shoulder. I want to play this game for at least 5 more years. Please, SE. Is there more information you can give, besides a half-assed response, that could shed some light on what is really going on?
