Well, I mean people usually find fun apart from that, or have a goal that offsets it. Like you may put up with gitting gud because you really like your static, or the end goal is to beat savage and get the impressive gear or mount, or you do it to sell runs to make money, or similar. It's just that you have to go from a mindset to playing for fun, to playing to improve, and that can be very unfun.
I mean, if you are shy, you have to get over that and get on discord, especially to call out mechanics or what have you. If you hate farming or making gil, you have to because you need money for the best potions/infusions and food. You can't ditch your static when you want to, and maybe even you change and gear up jobs. I think it can be worse in other endeavors, but there's a lot sometimes it asks of people that doesn't get acknowledged. Its tough if you play for fun to get into the whole "i am only one of 8 people" thing.
