Non elemental would be magic that has no elemental affinity
Bahamut's super attacks are always non-elemental magic
I'm not sure if that would even fit in with the lore though?
Deaspected crystals have had all elemental energy (and conversely all of their power) drained.
Perhaps a good non-elemental magic compromise would be just the opposite?
An attack that used all elements equally
It would be all-elemental or maybe equelemental (I just made that up)
Ultima would be a good example of this

Once more, I could be absolutely wrong, so please forgive me if that's the case...

PS. Take into account that I fully understand your point and your whole suggestion/request.

As it stands... there are no "Astral" or "Umbral" MOBs... (or spells anymore, for that matter).

(This is gonna be weird but I always remember it by Astral being the elements you couldn't put in a bottle, and Umbral being the ones you can)

Astral was/is Wind, Fire, Lightning
(And please... no fart in a bottle jokes)

Umbral is Earth, Water, Ice

So if you have a Wind MOB... you'd want to use Ice... he'd be strong against Wind or Fire (depending on the elemental theory you subscribe to)
Using Umbral, You have Ice, which he is weak to, and earth & Water, which do normal damage, so Umbral would work well on this MOB

But no MOBs are actually Astral or Umbral... I hope they will be in 2.0
