turbo controllers the new bot crafting?

So, I know that SE states that they don't allow 3rd party programs to in the game. But aren't Turbo controllers the same thing except the program is on your controller? The LS I WAS in clearly states "NO BOTTERS" so if someone can stay up all night crafting or stay on all day crafting. While they're either asleep or at work how is that not botting? I think maybe SE should consider changing their policy on this subject.

Had to post this in the OP it's too good.

They even admitted to afking all night with they're turbo controllers on and everyone was ok with it.

If they are "using" the control its not botting

if they are taping down the button and leaving it while afk, it is botting and if they get caught afk....they are screwed

Windows 7 is a 3rd party program. Realistically they're talking about bots, not logical things like Fraps/Controllers/Keyboards etc.

Turbo Controllers really does nothing but save you from manually clicking buttons/keys yourself, far from an automated process that the game is played for you while you're no where to be found, as in..bots like moetoy or w/e will run the synthesis, clear your inventories for you by running to NPC (or you station next to an NPC) and it'll play the game for you as long as you have adequate supply.

TCs just save you the trouble of hitting Standard/careful etc over and over lol.

I agree with Elexia. To add, they should require the act of synthesis to include more manual dexterity akin to that of a DoW at the very least. I don't disagree with using turbo controllers. I disagree with game mechanics that require so little variation in button usage so they are easily circumvented via turbo controllers.

They should also open up the ability to configure your own personal interface (including firmware/software) to fit your own needs for those with physical disabilities.

Not only would this make crafting more engaging, but it would also discourage the accessibility of afk means of leveling.

True, but you can't really do full on synthesis/inventory clearing with a TC alone :3 Though I guess if you considered the Blood Sword + Alexandrian soldier trick in FFIX botting too, yeah it can fall into botting territory.

it only works for crafting(dont see how someone can do anything but that with it)
and it doesnt really work to leve crafting off cheap efficient synths

so you get left with people doing synths at level or lower, spamming standard with it, and praying it doesnt fail(or their gear doesnt go bad) while doing it and causing them to fail even more, and not getting much exp out of it anyway as compared to actualy being there since they can do better synths when paying attention if they were there


but in the end, its still botting, and people do do it

Imo it's SE's fault for creating a system that lets you repeat the entire crafting process from start to finish by only pressing one button.

Need to change the UI, so you have to actually look at the screen to confirm something. For example you could make the default selection = cancel instead of accept.
