You can get unlucky enough to have that happen with N > G too. There is a weekly loot lock, so everyone would have a specific idea of what they want. The BRD in the OPs post obviously wants the MNK piece for a reason, and is just as entitled as the OP.The point is if you're unlucky enough you can be rolling against seven other people for the same piece of gear and it's not even guaranteed to drop every time so you could end up not getting your loot in the lockout.
Last tier I almost didn't get my weekly loot because the piece I needed refused to drop until late monday night. If greed all was in the game back then I might have totally missed out on my weekly loot.
Greed all is little more than an unfair rng multiplier.
It's actually better to add your voice to the larger threads already here, they pay attention to the stuff with higher likes/attention. All these small threads are basically treated and ignored like spam lol.
For my 2 cents though: I agree, greed only kinda sucks. On the current raid at least you know if someone rolls on it, they need it for an alt job (because of the lockout, no one is going to roll on crap gear they don't need), but maaan does it suck trying to get your glams in the older raids!
I'm literally only rolling on gear I don't need and can't use now... just to show how broken this system is...
Why do people believe that? The chances that every single other person in your party is wanting to spend their weekly lockout on the same piece of gear as you are not very high at all. At best you are rolling against 1 or 2 other people, which DPS were doing anyway in the N > G system.
I've seen gear drop to the floor more often than not, so the idea that 7 people want the same piece of gear as me at all times baffles me.
Because it is possible. It was impossible when we could roll need. The chances of dps rolling against more than three players was very small when we could roll need. Now there's a chance that anyone can end up rolling against up to seven players.
I'm not sure why it baffles you. Everyone has the same priority on loot therefore there is a possibility that everyone wants the same item. Basic math.
Until they change it back to how it was not running anymore 24man raids even if have it on my wt. All ready had very bad luck on rolls and now have every one else's rolls to worry about. No thanks.
