Really dont see a need especially when pld, ninjas and drks relic looked very similar
Wouldn't want them to do that with RDM and SAM
And Murglies is the nicest looking weapon in the game dont know why your glam be anything else

To be fair, no I wouldn't. Its more one of those 'would have been great to get, doesn't seem all that much work' things. But as I said, I understand the reasoning behind not doing it.
My issue with AST isn't that they didn't dive head first into Sharlayan lore, its more that they decided to essentially tell a completely unrelated story to begin with. The problem with AST is that it's not native to Eorzea so they can't really develop it without stepping on Sharlyan toes. Most jobs came from Eorzea so they could continue to build on it. NIN is a hybrid but had it easy because Othard was added to the expansion. MNK had a frigging field-day. DRK is less about the job and more its impact on you as a character so it doesn't care about geography, and MCH is from Ishgard so they always have something to fall on. AST has none of that, meanwhile the BLM questline came full circle to expand on the same story you hear when you get the Relic weapon.
The way I see it, they had two perfectly good opportunities for a more astrologian-y story. For one the numerous mentions of Time Magic throughout the latter half of the HW Jobquests.
And then a more in-depth look at this oh-so-mysterious proto-sharlayan ship, crafted by someone who was alluded to be skilled at divination, like, I don't know, an Astrologian? Which was also conveniently placed in one of the new areas, giving us good reaason to visit there.
Instead we got a Story that was pretty much about a completely different Job; and while they certainly tried to tell us Geomancy and Astromancy are related, I just didn't really buy it.
To me it seemed more like they took an early Idea for the Jobquests for that scrapped Mystic job they talked about and reused parts of it for Astrologian. Didn't sit well with me. :/
I don't know about you, but when i think about a Anima Lux-style Rapier my mouth starts to water.
Just... a super simplistic looking tuck that, when drawn, sprouts an elaborate, glowing handguard while the crystal-focus gets WHM-Lux like wings?
Sign me the hell up. xD
