Anemos Vs Mendacity gear?

I thought it might be on par with the mendacity weapon if substats not on par, but can you confirm or deny if that's better than the new primal weapons? I mean those +2 WD makes me think that it's impossible that it's better

The Mendacity is in fact only 2 weapon dmg higher at most (ffxiv database is what i always look at). I never mentionned the new Primal but that weapon is better from what i have seen at least for the jobs i play. It has better stats for a change and more WD

The one exception of Mendacity gear being better than Anemos I've run into is in the case of the SMN weapon, where the Mendacity book gives a pretty big boost to spell speed. Higher spell speed is the enemy of any SMN, so the Anemos weapon is probably marginally safer in that particular case, though you lose out on a bit of INT. On the other hand, the new EX trial SMN weapon is better all-around in terms of the main stat and even the sub stats.

But in general, most Mendacity gear will be superior to Anemos with few exceptions. Even moreso now that people can run Rabanastre and Ridoranna once a week and trade the coins for upgrade items to all Mendacity gear, save for the weapons at this time. It's also true that unless you're doing raids you probably also won't need much more than an average of i350-355 at this point since most content aside from Savage is pretty easy.
