I won't be surprised to see a Castle Gormenghast reference sometime in the future.

Saw another book, didnt write down the name - im dumb sometimes. It was something like "The Three Flavors".

Someone at /r/ffxiv highligted another pun, but this one is more of a pop-culture reference.
Unfortunately, I stopped at Civilization III, so I don't know if the reference is any cheekier than it at first appears. Apparently, victory by superior culture is now a thing in Volume VI?Originally Posted by Seigetsu

World domination by namazu, yes, yes.

Think this is more of a reference to The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire and the various other similarly-named publications but why not both? ^.^Someone at /r/ffxiv highligted another pun, but this one is more of a pop-culture reference.

It is indeed, you can start a religion & convert other nations to it to claim victory. It's a bit like what the Namazu are doing by pulling their disparate clans together under one religious diety (the Grandsire).Someone at /r/ffxiv highligted another pun, but this one is more of a pop-culture reference.
