Someone at /r/ffxiv highligted another pun, but this one is more of a pop-culture reference.

Unfortunately, I stopped at Civilization III, so I don't know if the reference is any cheekier than it at first appears. Apparently, victory by superior culture is now a thing in Volume VI?

It is indeed, you can start a religion & convert other nations to it to claim victory. It's a bit like what the Namazu are doing by pulling their disparate clans together under one religious diety (the Grandsire).
