    God please no time travel for the love of Hydaelyn its like the worst thing to do... It suck 90% of the time, bulls*** paradox everywhere, deus ex machina from hell, more plot hole than a godamn cheese and the worst of all "don't touch a flower or you destroy the world... joking go kill half the beast tribe population who care anyway".

    Actualy, i'd rather fly/swim in the old area and call it a day than godlike power out of the butt of a uninspired dev.

    For the next new area, Garlemald seems logic... but i'd pick another bad guys to confront and put down Garlemald for a long time at the end of stormblood.

    ARR = Garlemald ; HW = Dragon ; SB = Garlemald ; XX = other ; XY = Garlemald ...

    Yeah... I godamn hate time travel or any time related activity... Its overused and cliche.

    Exactly, I agree. Wings of the Goddess in FFXI showed that only too well - time travel became a convenient go-to plot for uninspired zone and game design by FFXI's old development team, in that they didn't even have to make new zones but just retouched existing zones and called it "<insert zone name here>, but in the past!". The Abyssea mini-expansions only underlined that fact.

    Also, and for those specifically hoping for time travel to allow them to see 1.0 Eorzea, that specifically will never happen. ARR's whole concept specifically was to change the design of 1.0's zones which were hated for being large expanses of nothing punctuated by copy-pasted aetheryte camps and the occasional unique landmark.

    So even if there was a hypothetical time travel storyline in FFXIV that somehow allowed travel back to the Sixth Astral Era just prior to the Calamity, the zones you would visit would merely be ARR style zones retouched to look "five years in the past", and not 1.0's zones rendered with a new coat of paint. That's just being realistic.

    I am guessing it is a Base system.

    If we're going to go into the finale battle against the Garlean Empire then we may have the Grand Company provide a base of operations for the WoL to perform Defense and Assault missions.

    We had JUMPING in 2.0 FLYING in 3.0 and SWIMMING in 4.0 so for 5.0 I say we are getting CRAWLING AND OR CLIMBING

    I'd love to see personal ships, for fishing, exploring treasure hunting, NM hunting. NOT pirate theme'd !!!! more the feel of Windwaker. Maybe the theme of the xpac could be to break out and explore the unknown, might even be cool if they keep alot of new lands secret until players find them.

    Prediction: Vehicles of sorts, but they force blackscreen loads on entry and exit. To enter a bus, walk across a boarding plank, etc., you will have to talk to some obligatory NPCs or Destination point. Once on, you are free to move OR turn about -- not both -- but whilst flying one cannot actually look down and while on a land or sea-based vehicle, there is still no relation between the visible terrain and your actual location.

    Hopes: Climbing and a polished revision of object interactions, now including ladders and ropes. Also, the ability to orient one's body in more than just straight up or down, allowing one to spring off even surfaces that are not perfectly lateral, to vault over certain others, and run at a gradual banking arc over others. Improvements to visually three-dimensional movement abilities such as Elusive Jump, to (again) better match their animations. Improvements to Sprint. Snap-adjustments situationally added to movement. All this with the intention of allowing for some aesthetic and gameplay alike to platforming, without the frustration or absolute precision necessary, as to permit more interesting uses of vertical space for mountainous and/or multi-storied environments.

    In my opinion, FFXI pulled that off brilliantly, gave it an amazing story and the zones were different enough despite being the same, for the most part. Also, it made sense there.

    Through story shenanigans WoL will wind up directly in charge of the central hub, and will be able to upgrade it as they see fit. Like Doma/Idylshire/Mor Dhona, except the player will decide what goes where, and what gets upgraded when.

    New race: Garlean.

    Unlike the current six races you can only make a Garlean character upon reaching a certain level and/or story point. Upon doing so you will be able to make the Garlean character. They are limited to certain classes/jobs at the start possibly even only having one (which would be the Gunblade job) similar to how each of the starting classes starts you in a certain city-state.

    You will either start at the same level as the min needed to unlock the race or start at level one but go through military training that uses leveling up to show how fast your character progresses. At some point you would A.) Gain some way to be able to play as any of the other classes/jobs and(/possibly or) B.) will end up joining the Scions for story-related reasons. NOT neccessarily defection though that is a reasonable possiblity to think of in regards to a playable Garlean.
