Best lighting for selfies? (Which are the best areas for lighting?)

Some areas have really bad lighting for selfies in particular so what are some good spots? Thanks.

I think the Steps of Faith have the best lightning for pictures. I looks brighter and slightly saturated. If you're not using things like StormShade, you'll still notice the difference as soon as you zone in. Mixed with filters, you can get nice effects. Then you can go from there, and depending on what you want. My favorite places: Good King Moggle Mog's, Bismarck's and Garuda's.

If you haven't already, grab the sun minion so you can better control the lighting.

I mean... you know that you can set up to three lights in /gpose, right?

It will require some experimentation if you haven't messed with it before, but with the various settings it is possible to light the character without impacting the area lighting.

However, if you WANT to change the area lighting, that is super easy. Just place one light behind the character on the brightest setting and you can augment the background colors as much as you want.

Anywhere that is outside pretty much between 9am and 3pm Eorzea time. Most of the time however you want to avoid taking screenshots indoors because the lighting indoors is meant to look like incandescent light (eg candles), but the outdoor light is sunlight.

Mists has some great lighting. The beach there is my favorite place to get good selfies.
