I have no idea why this patch was called "Prelude in Violet". In fact, I don't even know what "Stormblood" even means, I don't think those words even come up in this expansion.

Huh, not quite as poetic as Heavensward, which had the WoL at their lowest point, looking heavensward in the very first cutscene and the word ended up having multiple meanings.
I guess this expansion was just another word for Bloodbath, which frankly could describe every single Final Fantasy game in the past.

That is a trademark filed by square enix sometime in August. We have no idea what it is in regards to, but everyone immediately assumes FFXIV expansion.




Personally it sounds like a name a 13 year old would come up with to sound cool but w/e.
