    Error Code 90002

I was in the middle of the patch 4.3 Raisen Temple instance and lost connection to the server. When i tried to log into the game from character selection, i load for a little bit but "Connection with the server was lost" and error code 90002 comes up and i go to the title menu.

My friend can see that my character is still logged in, still in the instance.

I've tried having my friends who can log in fine try log in from their end and they get the same error code. I can log in to other characters i created so i don't think its a connection issue from my end

Is it possible to somehow have my character manually logged out?

Thank you for contacting the North American SQUARE ENIX Support Center. We appreciate you taking the time to contact us for assistance.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may be experiencing while attempting to log in. This specific error is an error regarding character data. The error is most commonly caused by an improper disconnection from the servers during gameplay. As the game servers still recognize the character as being logged in due to the improper disconnection, the character cannot be logged into again. Unfortunately, there is no manual way to communicate to the servers that the character is no longer logged in, nor is there a way to manually log the character out. The character will eventually be recognized as logged out, though this time can vary depending on multiple factors, such as the area the character was in when the disconnection happened. We recommend trying to log into that character at a later time, but if the problem persists, please submit a bug report within the official FINAL FANTASY XIV forums at: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/forum.php

    - Well this is great...

    PC

    wired

    None

    All suggested methods

Ensure that the latest version of Internet Explorer is installed on your PC (even if you don't use Internet Explorer). Please do not use Microsoft Edge, as that is a different Internet platform. Once Internet Explorer is up-to-date, please open the IE browser's "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium."
Under the "Privacy" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or to "Allow All Cookies."
Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED.
    [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties."
Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7."
Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    Please RESTART your PC now.
Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator."

If the suggestions provided above do not resolve the issue, there may be a communication error.
Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that the following Port Ranges have been opened/forwarded/triggered:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

*You may learn how to do this by visiting http://www.portforward.com/
Find your specific router's brand and model number from the 'List of Routers' and you will be provided a step-by-step guide on how to access these port settings.
Otherwise, your ISP may forward these ports for you.*

If you have properly configured your router, and you are still experiencing these issues, our next suggestion is to bypass the router, and connect your computer directly to your modem. Please ensure that you power down both the modem and the computer for at least five minutes before attempting to connect to FINAL FANTASY XIV.

If you continue to receive these same errors when you are connected directly to the modem, then the problem lies with your ISP. We would recommend contacting your provider and advising them that one or more of the ports previously provided to you are being blocked or filtered, and that you do need access on these ports.

My internet is fine, as i am able to fully utilize the game (expect for this 1 situation). I have the ability to play other characters and have never had any issues regarding connection with the game since starting. The issue is with accessing a single character

I received the below response by submitting a ticket with support center. I've been recommended to come to the forums, but it looks like I've reached a dead end...
