Curious how does the settings in a web browser affect the performance of a video game that doesn't use a browser to operate? (I'll be re-installing the game as the other option is already confirmed....)

I'm having this issue as well. I've set my internet explorer settings, port forwarded. Still cannot connect. Yet I can connect with other characters on different servers. My main character however still says it is in ridorana lighthouse raid. Which is what sparked this issue. I queue'd for the raid, accepted it. And I got disconnected since yesterday. Still cant reconnect. Is my character just stuck? Its pretty frustrating that Squares actual support line told me to go to these forums but here I am.
- Platform: PC
- Any error codes or messages you receive upon disconnect: 90002
- Type of connection: Wired
- Other programs running while the game is playing: None
- Frequency at which disconnect occurs: Everytime I login since it first occured
- Everything you have tried to resolve the issue: Changing IE settings, Port Forwarding.

- Platform: PC (Windows 10)
- Any error codes or messages you receive upon disconnect: 90002
- Type of connection: Wired (fiber optic landline)
- Other programs running while the game is playing: Chrome, Discord
- Frequency at which disconnect occurs: Randomly, but likely more than twice per session
- Everything you have tried to resolve the issue: Changing IE settings.
Note: I tried also on a spare PC and have the same problem.
Tried also resetting/rebooting all the network equipment (firewall, router)
Side note, not sure why it might be a concern, but to reply to someone on this thread, i did run a tracert on the IP mentioned and i indeed pass through NTT network, but i am unsure if that is a concern to me :
I play from Europe (Paris) on Chaos datacenter, Lich server.
So i did all those thing i even made 100% sure that the every port was open but i did do as followed from the one person who commented and trace routed the ISP he entered and these are the results. As we can see here the issue is coming from the NTT network.

Oh those San Jose NTT nodes. How you cause problems and the technical support team already knows but will not hold their own ISP responsible.
Hello,
quick update from me :
Apparently my issue was caused by my hardware firewall.
Out of things to check i tried to bypass it, and no more disconnections ever since.
(at least, so far..)
Yep. That seems accurate. You are hitting the same NTT nodes that have been responsible for causing Square Enix's customer's problems for almost a year now.
Moderators will tell you to contact your ISP and dismiss your ticket.
But this issue is on Square Enix's side. Nothing you can do about it sadly.
