Experience shows that's a load of rubbish. I can flip the board and still not get a drop, it's all RNG.

IF it's RNG then the RNG God likes me for some reason then.Most I've spent on one NPC is 10 times for a secondary card and 5 times for a normal one. Better get that salty God out of your corner. Less if I flip the board. Except from Illshyre and above harder to flip whole board.

No I'm referring to playing against NPC's. The more cards you win over the first 5 the better your drops are.

We all have our methods then, to each their own. Main point is you have a better chance to get cards you don't have by challenging NPC's then wasting MGP on packs on repetition based on theme and not likely to get the ones your missing.

Luck maybe those luck items I carry with me ? ( Not proven to work )As for card in packs, the ones I got early on I got from NPCS, tried packs a few times already had them -.-, Yeah kind of why I only compete in tournaments for platinum packs. Based on the odds however and the structure of rare cards that you can use your better of with Higher level NPC ones than pack ones. Maybe after you have all the ones you can buy directly with MGP then invest on packs lower or save up. Otherwise it's a nice queue time killer. I mean what else can you do when you have maxed almost everything already >.>

So why not play the game and win cards? Play the tournament just for participating you can get platinum packs -.-; Booster packs are meant to be a rip off and seriously it's not that hard anyways. If you played FFVIII it's the same rules. If not look them up on line samples ect. Damn lazy people want everything handed to them lol.

How is he being lazy? There's some cards you can ONLY get from the card packs in the game. That's how they're making it a very un-needed MGP sink. In the R-300 races, you'd have to win first place 8 times for one attempt at a card pack (Right over 1000 MGP). But they made sure to put some common as hell cards in each one to really streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch out how long it takes to finally get something. Not to mention the fact that you have to ROLL AGAINST UP TO 23 PEOPLE IN RAIDS for some of the cards.

The only cards that are booster exclusive are in Bronze, Silver, Gold and Imperial Triad booster packs. The Gold ones are going to be your major headache with both WoL and Zidane. I don't recall any card from the Mithril Triad booster that you can't get from other means (trial/raid/dungeon drops or NPC). The later are hard to get, since the NPCs are a real challenge and the drops are stingy as hell. So it's up to decide what's worth doing. I'll leave this handy website: http://ffxivtriad.com/

cousin won once or twice I don't have the cards to do it he tried to help, I decided today to call it on triad I went and bought 7 on ps4 and rather play that then the one on 14 until I see some improvement on the cards not giving you the same stuff non stop.

Can you not play NPCs anymore? I used to play against the weakest NPC and I could walk away with 2 platinum packs. I didn't even win all the time, so I'm assuming it was just a participation reward.

I might not be the first to say it, but I will say it again anyway: ANYTHING in this game that comes solely from an RNG source is a HUGE ripoff. This is doubly so for triple triad, where the drop rates from both NPCs and card packs are horrendously low all around. Do not pursue them unless you have a saints patience and a lot of time on your hands.

I play triple triad while waiting in DPS queues. I am earning MGP fast and have all the cards that drop from NPCs who I have unlocked to play against. I just sell the cards that I already have. There are a few cards that only come from buying packs or from dungeons that I have yet to get but I am not worried. I'm in no rush. Maybe try it next time you are in a long queue and find yourself standing around. Might as well get some MGP while you are waiting.
