No driver / windows update changes since I logged off last night, but now I'm constantly getting DX11 errors. I did swap from DVI to HDMI though.

Attempt #1 - logged into game in the Mists at our fc house, checked 1 retainer, opened up the dialogue for the 2nd and crashed

Attempt #2 - talked to the 2nd retainer, bought some stuff off the MB, ported to my Shiro house and immediately crashed on zone change

Attempt #3 - logged in and instantly crashed in shiro, double error this time

Attempt #4 - logged in and instantly crashed in shiro

Attempt #5 - swapped to DX9 and logged in w/o issue, played ~20m, logged out.

Attempt #6 - swapped to DX11, logged in and crashed within 5s

Attempt #7 - reverted to DVI, yoinked out the HDMI, reverted display changes in nvidia control panel. logged in and crashed within 5s.

Attempt #8 - uninstalled & reinstalled XIV, logged in and crashed immediately

Attempt #9 - uninstalled drivers, rebooted to safe mode, DDU cleansed, reinstalled drivers, rebooted - logged in and crashed immediately


edit: what the hell. I upgraded my wireless dongle firmware and it somehow magically fixed the DX11 errors. They aren't even related in the slightest. I bloody hate w10.
