My response to not being allowed to watch cutscenes is to refuse to participate in the fight.

And when they inevitably complain about it i tell them that it's their own fault, which just makes them rage harder.
Well, screw you folks, you started it so stop bitching.
Cue the Vote Kick and then them standing around for half an hour waiting for a replacement tank, wasting far more time than if they had just let me watch that dang cutscene.
