First Time bonus - abandon?

Do players still get first-time bonus when the first-time player leaves the instance?
I was treated horrible after I said it is my first time in the instance, and when cutscene came I knew they will not allow my experience or watch. When skipping immediately after the -15 second notice-, loading of screen took too long to return. I miss both the cutscene and my run. Upset, I leave the instance while they fight. Do they get bonus? I wish SE will make scenes unskippable if there is first-time player. It will solve rude people issues!!

Players sometimes are foolish. Sorry to hear your experience was so negative. Feel free to report them if they are too harsh.

GM's do not take kindly to newbie bashing.

First time bonus requires a "Clear" to remove.

If you didn't clear it...you didn't get the bonus and you can try again later.

This is true because of past attempts to clear savage content and or extreme primals.

So yes...you can try again.

I'd be curious to hear how you were treated with specifics if you didn't mind sharing.

I'm trying to figure out what duty you joined where skipping a cutscene caused such a delay that you didn't even get to participate.

I don't want to speak for OP, but I read this as "If I'm the first-time player, and I leave, does the rest of the group get the bonus?".

I do not believe so. Mind if I asked what dungeon it was? Because that sort of thing is really not prevalent outside of the level 50 8-player dungeons.

Rude people will still be rude people, now they'll just abandon the instance themselves. I'm sorry this was your experience but that's no reason to force bad, intrusive game design on the rest of us. It's bad enough what they did with the MSQ dungeons.

Is it because we got an influx of players form other MMOs? if So keep that kind of behavior to yourselves and spend a long time in introspection.

I just came back after 3 years and these complaints were happening back then. Also, I haven't seen anyone be rude yet, and. I've done a lot of dungeons the past two weeks.

I think that you are just letting your emotions get the better of you. Nothing has changed from what was happening 3 years ago.

Actually, this idea of mine would prevent. Imagine this: You are in a party of 8 man, one of them are new, in my case it was a mandervile - hillibrand cutscene! So of course it's a blast. But let us remain general; the cutscenes of dungeons/trials/raid aren't long, so basically my idea came to; if there is 1(or more, but importantly 1) is new and thus have cutscene, making party watch it to not leave the new player out, definitely puts an end to rude, impatient people and gives new players less paranoid feeling of being forced to skip. But this I recommend, if a player is new (everyone gets a bonus from the player, why not have consideration)? It is not meant as punishment, but resolve in my idea.

"The keeper of the Big" I think? Manderville/Hilbrand trial. So cutscenes were so nice... I miss out.

There are ways to get around unskippable cutscenes so it doesn't really solve the problem. Also, as I said before, that's a bad idea and horrible design. Not everyone cares for the cutscenes and many have seen them numerous times. When you queue for DF you're going to get a mixed bag. If you want to avoid it, put up a PF. People will literally flock to the concept of bonus and as you said before you'd be watching cutscenes, no one'd give you a hard time for it.
