Kicked out of dungeon when disconnect

Steps:
1. After entering a dungeon (swallows compass and ridorana lighthouse), my internet caused me to disconnect from the servers. After attempts of reconnecting, it displayed my character as still in the dungeon area on the login screen, yet when I logged into the character, I was no longer in the dungeon.
2. For the ridorana lighthouse, a similar thing occurred except that I had joined a cross-world party finder. After disconnecting and reconnecting I was once again not in the instance, yet the other party members that came in with me were.
3. Noted that the disconnect message was not a 90k, but rather a lobby connection error.

Are you sure you weren't dismissed from the instance? It could also be that you got automatically kicked if it took very long to reconnect. (you are automatically kicked after ten minutes of inactivity)

Disconnects won’t result in an auto-dismissal like AFK will, but it’s very possible that the party members dismissed you if you were gone for an extended period of time. I usually give disconnects 5-10 minutes to return before I initiate a kick.

This just happened to me as well in Swallow's Compass. Lost connection to the server but could log in again right away. I can't imagine that the party kicked me, as I was not even gone a minute.

I think it's more of the party kicking you do to DC than system. Was in a few runs yesterday a few times and people were just impatient and booted right away.

I don’t think I was kicked, because I joined a pf with some friends so they’d give more time to get me back on. It’s only when I told them by LS that I couldn’t enter the instance that they kicked me.
