I am going from the East Coast STRAIGHT to California then being redirected to Chicago before I get to the Aether servers. This is with a VPN! I have done very step mentioned in the previous thread, FFXIV is the only service that I have this issue with, there is either a bad node redirecting traffic or something is really messed up with your infrastructure. I don't pay 100$ a month for internet, AND a 15$ sub, AND a yearly subscription to a VPN service to have these kinds of issues. I know I am not the only one with this issue, Please Help!

You are hitting NTT nodes. Same problem with me and many others. The mod team will say it's not their problem and to solve the issue on their end, they will give you an inconclusive resolution by telling you to contact your ISP. (Which won't do anything since NTT is outside of your ISP's network.)
