    Fatal DirectX error 10000000

Hi, I receive the error "A fatal DirectX error has occurred.(10000000)" when I attempt to launch FFXIV in DX11. This happened since I updated my home pc from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 x64 Enterprise 1803 to mirror business workstations.

I'm out of ideas since I feel like i've tried everything of what was suggested from browsing multiple threads in various locations. I've tried:

Removing possible overlays that might conflict, launching FFXIV in admin mode and without, launching FFXIV with various compatibility modes, reinstalling FFXIV, clean installing various nvidia drivers with DDU and with antivirus disabled, from the latest 397.64 all the way down to 388.13 where I last ran DX11 FFXIV on Win 7 Pro.

I've disabled gamebar/xbox/full screen optimizations, i've dropped my 970 gtx card to stock clocks from factory overclock by using the built-in debug mode in the nvidia control panel, i've tried odd things like running a setup install of dx9 even though win 10 is on dx12 etc by default. I've tried running FFXIV with a clean setup and nothing seems to work.

At least I can play the game in DX9, but it's sad that I can't run DX11 for the benefits.

    Ideas? Thanks.

    Fixed

I found a fix for my problem. Apparently FFXIV doesn't like the default settings under "Adjust desktop size and position" in NVIDIA settings. Mine was set to No scaling, Perform scaling on: Display. It should look like below.

I happened to just try this setting after attempting to run the Stormblood benchmark as a test run and it kept giving me an error saying that "A screensize of at least 1024 x 720 is required to run". I went to look for that issue and someone suggested to turn off DPI scaling, which didn't help, so gave the above a try and it worked.
