An aetheryte in the Hinterlands would be amazing for every time a quest makes you go talk to Matoya.

The Observatorium's like a 60-second ride from Dragonhead, though... And why would you need to go back and forth between Dragonhead and there? No matter what you're grinding by leves, there's no need to commute constantly between the two sites.Whitebrim AND the Observatorium, if there can now be three per map. (Really it would have been more practical to have them at those two points from the start, and not have one at Dragonhead if they couldn't have all three places.)
Also there's a broken one visible at Riversmeet in Western Coerthas - more central for the area than Falcon's Nest. Lorewise I would have thought the Convictory knights would want to make use of it. Perhaps it could have been repaired as part of the Vath questline? Too late to be added in now, I assume.
If what you're asking were truly isolatable, then sure, why not? But it's not; it establishes precedent for further adjustments. And I'd rather not see aetherytes at every site capable of holding a bell, leve, and/or quest. So, I'd rather just have the one added at Whitebrim, if any, personally.
If these were just hidden aetherseams like in 1.x (usable for home points but not for direct teleportation previously, these were just subtle trails of aetherous vapor), rather than large structures, though, then I'd be cool with that. Maybe you could choose 3 aetherseams worldwide that you could use as direct teleports. Most could be at aether current sites, so you'll run into them as necessary, but they don't catch the eye if you're not looking for them. Then I'd be fine with a huge amount more placed being directly teleported to, if only because it does nothing to the environment.
i take it you haven't done the arr leveling in a long time
i can live without an observatorium aetheryte but the lack of one at whitebrim is super egregious. and as a gatherer, having to port to idyllshire or anyx trine every time i need to hit one of the hinterlands nodes (and there are a number of useful ones there) is super annoying.I was referring solely to the Observatorium, but okay: Again, convenience matters less than appearance to me. Or, to put it another way, in case of conflict, I find the player owed nothing further in terms of convenience. If that conflict is avoided, i.e. if the added aetheryte won't seem out of place (and I'd figure one in the small town to the east in the Hinterlands wouldn't seem out of place, especially if later repaired, for instance), then fine, by all means add it. But if it can't be fit in smoothly, unobtrusively, then I don't think convenience is entitled to a single invasive change.I'd rather just have the one added at Whitebrim, if any, personally.

Considering im on an old ps4 with 1-2min loading times depending on popularity of a area, Id appreciate this.
Patch 4.4: pretty please, Square Enix? :3
How would having an aetheryte stop you from doing this?
The weird thing is we have three of them in the azim steppe, which is smaller than the hinterlands honestly.
For me, I can get on board with the Hinterlands getting one. It's strange that it's the only zone without an aetheryte (housing areas notwithstanding but you have other options for that, such as Estate Teleportation to friends' houses with it enabled). Other areas already have an aethryte, so I say let's not. I feel like the Hinterlands however could be isolated on the grounds of "It's the only zone without an aetheryte". If I remember rightly, Idyllshire was going to be in the Hinterlands (like how Rev's Toll is in Mor Dhona), but they decided to separate it because they were scared of the hinterlands zone going kaput.
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
