Thread: NPC spoiled the 4.3 trial!

So I won't spoil what the trial is myself but it was spoiled for me due to an NPC so this is a word of warning if you don't want the same to happen to you.

I generally check quality of life stuff first in a new patch and this time I wanted to check to see what the new Doyen's Clan Marks could get me and if I should farm some. So I went to Eschina (Primal Gear Exchange) and in her categories blatantly showed who the boss of the trial was.

I'm a little mad because it denies me my reaction to figuring it out in the story.

To be completely fair, you had to know it would have been listed under every other primal weapon. This and any others really are doing it to themselves at that point.

I avoided the NPC for this reason

For me it wasn't even the vendor. The crafting list spoiled it because it had the Wind-up [PRIMAL NAME] and the description was pretty spoilery too lol

Frankly, it wouldn't have bothered me if they didn't make such a big deal about trying to keep it secret. They got people's hopes up yet left multiple ways to spoil the secret in game. If they weren't going to fix the loose ends, they should have just not said anything and not hype up the "secret".

They didn't "make such a big deal" out of it. They just did not want to spoil people. And they didn't.

You read obvious spoilers, it's on you. Checking rewards first?! Why would you do that? When every single other primal gives rewards with their name in it, you should KNOW there will be the name of the new one there as well. And you opened the tab named "Primal Weapons". It's like opening a forum thread with a big, fat [SPOILER] tag then complaining that the person in there spoiled your fun.


Also...game cannot really spoil itself. I mean...it IS the very source of the the content. It's like saying that manga X chapter 1 page 5 spoils that same manga and chapter page 6. Sure, it's not exactly part of the quest line...but hey.

Can't blame the dev's for this one.

This is why I minimized discord, turned off the chat for potential spoilers there and started doing msq on a job of choice sap. Your own fault for visiting the vendor that offers primal weapons.

Then just do it before checking all the names of everything else like gear and MB items gee. You spoiled yourself
