    Need some help getting re-started

    Hi all
I've been away for a while due to health and some other reasons. I want to get back in the game with
    some help from you guys.

I have A Realm Reborn and Heavensward. I'll probably get Stormblood next month
after I get my SS check. SE has the Collector's Editionfor $59.99. Anybody seen it cheaper anywhere ?.

Below are the characters I have now, actually the ones I had when I left.
Which ones would you definitely %100 keep playing and leveling and who
would you definitely %100 not bother with.

These are on my PC so now I have to practice with my controller. Do you think PC is ok or would a PS4 be better. A keyboard is just too much moving around for me.

    This is who I have:

    44 Monk
    44 White Mage (Raen)
    44 White Mage (Dunesfolk)
    41 Barb
    22 Marauder
    44 Black Mage
    41 Dragoon
    44 Summoner
    44 Scholar
    41 Ninja

    Thanks for any help.

If you have to wait for a check to come in, maybe don't buy the collector's edition...? The regular version is ~$40, and you could probably find it cheaper elsewhere. The collector's is unlikely to be cheaper anywhere else though.

As far as I know, operating the game with a controller should behave the same regardless of which system you use, so that's really up to you.

Which ones would you keep playing and leveling
Are these all different characters? This game allows you to level everything on a single character, and leveling stuff isn't difficult, so if you're trying to prune that list down a bit, it literally does not matter which you choose or which you throw away. Go with whichever ones look the coolest to you. Unless you have a boner for having multiple characters, repeatedly leveling jobs, and/or re-running the same quests over to progress each character, I'd just prune it down to a single character.

Also, I'm not your mom, but if you have to "wait for a SS check" to buy stuff, maybe you should just stick with a single character. The single-character subscription is cheaper.

    Hi Raldo

I need to exp[lain something I should have said better. About my SS check. What I meant to say was I like to make sure I have it in the bank each month. People have had problems like some company accidentally reported them deceased and it took months
    to get it straightened out.

Anyway I read that some people said Monk is the best for end game etc and others said Summoner was the best, just curious. Also they are all different characters and I was wondering which ones to stick with. When I made them I was just trying each class out.

I use a controller mainly because of some occasional back pain and reaching all over a keyboard only makes it worse.

    Thanks for the response.

If you're going to be a hardcore raider (i.e. dedicate many hours, generally with the same group, dying over and over to high-end content until you succeed), then currently your best options are probably MNK, SMN, BRD, NIN, or any tank or healer job. With that said, I think it's rather rare for people to actually get skipped-over for being any particular job, unless there's already someone with that job in the group. If you want to hedge your bets, SMN and SCH are tied to the same base class such that leveling one also levels the other simultaneously (even if you never actually use one of them).

With that said, if you're not going to try to be a top-tier raider, but just do the casual endgame stuff (i.e. anything you can complete via the duty finder and succeed with randos), then your job choice matters very little. Any of the duty finder content can be completed with any job setup.

Generally speaking, you should just go with the job you find most engaging. It looks like you've leveled most things to the mid-40s, so hopefully you got a feel for everything and have some preferences.

If you only have the PC licence, then moving to PS4 would require re-purchasing ARR (and HW, except that now you'd get that bundled with SB) to get the PS4 versions. Which platform is better depends on the specs of your computer, but functionally, controller play on one should work the same as controller play on the other.

Ok, thanks. I have a decent computer and no problems with any game. I'll stick with the PC then.

    Thanks again
