It really sours the whole experience when technical difficulties like this pop up.
Especially when they're the same ones over and over again. Raubhan's Wall was a meme because of how bad it was. Surely they had to know it would happen again. What's being done to mitigate it on the backend? Just saying "oh eventually eveyrone will have done it so things will clear up" isn't a proper solution, because of how often the same problem happens.

What I don't understand is that something had to have changed for this to happen with this expansion specifically.
With Raubahn it could be explained by there possibly being more people playing the game than at any one time before, not to mention there being almost nothing in the game to do at all up to that point. But 4.2 and 4.3? They're just patches that shouldn't have anywhere near the volume of people on the same quest as say, 3.0. Looking at the login queues upon expansion release compared to these patches is proof enough of that. Something has to have changed, which to me says that it can be fixed, they just don't know how.
Blind guess would say the increased inventory is causing this, not saying it's the cause, but it's what I would think since the issue started with the increased inventory capacity
I guess there's the answer we seek.[14:33]In order to address an issue causing difficulties when entering instances via duty finder, we will be performing an emergency maintenance on the duty finder server. As a result of this maintenance, all players’ queues will be reset. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
The irony is that Yoshida said in an interview that Raubahn wont happen again because they tested a new system on the full chinese servers and it was fine so we should have been fine this time but seemingly we are not...(he also said that it should be fine because its towards the end of the MSQ)Especially when they're the same ones over and over again. Raubhan's Wall was a meme because of how bad it was. Surely they had to know it would happen again. What's being done to mitigate it on the backend? Well it seems that even that is not enough and I fear for 5.0. They really need to get rid of that because I cant remember that we had so many problems with normal patches in ARR or HW..
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
