Blue Mage Carnival Auto Filter:
Due to the growing list of spells and the rules on the carnival changing weekly, thought it would be nice if while in the carnival menu have it filter a list of spells that meet the rule- where you could also build your hotbar at the same time.
It may be helpful if you could select each rule as a filter in a group / individually. So you could compile a list of spells that meet ALL the rules or simply selection of specific rule(s).
I am aware there are some filters in the book already but I believe it would be more convenient if it filters based on the current restrictions (as said above). Having to reverse the rule, it's just "this rule, show me spells that meet it's success". Naturally some rules would almost have all the spells.
Honestly for most of the fights, especially early ones at least, I'd be fine with simply a recommend and go button lol. Currently there are not that many builds, and so build crafting isn't much beyond pick the obvious combo (like tingle) / most powerful potency spells you currently own- at max level with most spells there are certainly spell kits that engage you, just not really that many 'builds'. Actually one of my threads on Blue Mage is about trying to introduce earlier and more often spells that interact both obviously and not so, just for the purpose of 'builds'.. so you might be like a fire blue mage, a DoT blue mage, each new spell being potentially a new cascade of choices (or least interesting opportunity to play differently).
Especially when solo where they could design the job to have more interesting builds due to not having to be forced into a semi-balanced trinity party.
If SE revamps the build potential of Blue Mage then yeah I'd prefer build craft, but otherwise it's more trying to follow the specific limitations and it would be nice if the filtering or selection process was made simpler.
Warn On Impossible:
On a semi-related note, certain fights have gimmicks you can't do without very specific spells, unless someone reads up on those fights... it's, imo, almost an insult to your time to be allowed to progress without them. I know its meant to be neat / 'figuring it out' but it didn't feel like that to me at least.
I mean that is literally the steps I went through, I fought and lost, multiple times, then I read a guide, got the spell I needed (how would I know it exists before hand unless I read the guide), and then.. won easily. I felt annoyed, even after winning lol.
If they're puzzle fights then I feel those levels might as well just come with pre-assigned abilities / requirements to enter and you figure it out with the given kit.
