Not sure but wasn't all the veteran reward outfits all from male characters and not one from a female one. I know won't be crafting one don't like looks of at all. Top of it looks to weird and skirt is way go big. Might look good on a lala.

Those outfits can be wear by female characters. This isn't about the style of the gear, Square can make masculine or feminine outfits as they please, and actually I think there is a good balance between both. The issue is that female characters have more options because many masculine outfits can be wear by females too, while feminine outfits can only be wear by female characters.

The Cascadier Uniform had male and female variants, and was the first one you unlocked back in the day. The later sets were unisex.
Additionally, outside of the veteran rewards, you had a few times that different outfits were added for both sexes. Yuna and Tidus, and Snow and Lightning come to mind as thoughts where this happened. I won't argue that they couldn't have made a Tifa or Aeris set for female characters instead of giving them Cloud, and a Rinoa instead of Squall, but the thing is, female characters weren't locked out, and the outfits still look appropriate on female character models. Those who have male models simply want options as well.
I support the sentiment of still keep some sets gender locked, and just give different sets for each, or more items that change their model based off what sex the character is. The Foestriker's set altered slightly for male and female models, and I think that was good enough.
Honestly at this point I'm with the guys. Give them some nice things to wear. Or hideous monstrosities. Just stop making cheesecake for a while and make more beefcake.

I've all but given up on any kind of glamour parity. The devs seem pretty set in their patterns at this point. It doesn't seem to matter how much wailing and gnashing of teeth takes place, we get 1) a nice (or at least original) female gender locked glam and 2) some Pants(tm) that are not gender locked but might have a much better model on female characters *cough spring shorts cough*. This time we didn't even get a new pair of Pants(tm)!

You could say that SE is trying to cash in on the tendency of people (mostly young, straight men) to spend ridiculous amounts of money on dressing up female avatars when it comes to the overall quality disparity, especially when talking about the cash shop. And I would agree with you.
But the quantity gap is baffling to me. There's no extra money to be made by having more craftable female sets than male. That's just unspoken employee bias becoming evident in the game itself, which is poor form for a game that has a fairly even gender ratio of players.
Some people have said that SE mentioned a male set would be released later... where is that recorded? And is it going to be a male set or another unisex set?
never really bothers me when i'm on my male character.
just mimics real life in my experience. See women in men's clothes all the time but the reverse is exceedingly rare to the point it's a named fetish

And re: real life. Ah yes, real life. Where you walk down a street running into catgirls and dragon waifus, and talk to a huge conscious crystal!
