Thread: Revelations from Patch 4.3

Well we have fanfest in about 6 months and that will almost certainly have an expansion announcement which would make june next year the likely release date for the next expansion.

Considering the usual time between patches, we should be getting 4.5 either at the very end of this year or very early next. Technically they could possibly squeeze in a 4.6 but I think they would probably want to be all hands focused on getting the expansion fully completed by that stage.

The said they have nothing of note till late 2019, so probably november or so

The possibility of it beign only a seal cutscene is there, though I kinda remember them telling us that the seal will break and that we are calling the four lords to be able to resist Kohryu.

But you are right that atm we have many zones open to us. we have the whole of hingashi to be explored eventually, not to mention the thavnairian embassy AND the kugane airship tower mentioning that thavnairian airships as well as garleans airships use that airline.
Though I don't know if I really want another garlean based expansion so soon, I mean the last 3 dungeons of SB kinda are at fault of using the same type of enemies, It's true that I kinda be w/e but I wouldn't fault ppl for feeling a bit of empire repulsion

Let's not forget thavnair and old sharlyan are both on the current map... as is the burn (which we just set foot in)... perhaps they will surprise us by opening up these other areas in THIS expansion and not the next... I think that would be a nice surprise for everyone

5.0 speculation

While Garleans have been in all the expansions, we've only ever seen their conquered fringes, never their home territory, I imagine the Imperial Capital will be a sight to behold. We've also grown used to the Garleans being the 'baddies', however, I forsee an Alliance with the peoples of Garlemald against Varis and Elidi-nos. Unlike Stormblood, we're not trying to unleash a storm or a war, we're fighting against the very agents of chaos themselves, the Paragons, the Ascians. I think we will wont be fighting the Garleans, rather, we'll be fighting alongside the Garleans.

I don't think we will have the burn for an explorable area. After all, it is pretty much a desolate landscape devoid of life. Its not like we would have much to do there.

I do think we might visit it again in a dungeon or scenario or even in a mini zone like the Sky Pirate base for the Shadows of Mhach raid series. I don't think we will have a full zone though. It would be cool to see Thavnair but to be honest things look like they are going to be getting heavily into Garlean politics so I think it is very likely we will end up in the heartland of the Empire in 5.X.

I'm just going to come out and say it.

Gods I was hoping Bozja was in The Burn and the devastation was wrought by Dalamud and not what we got...

Well we learned quite a while ago there was an area that during the conquest of Orthad showed Solus the damage to the world that a primal could cause and lead to Garlemald's stunch anti primal viewpoint. The burn is the obvious sight.

As for Bozja, I got the impression it was a bit closer to Ilsibard and frankly I imagine its not much more than a crater unless they have rebuilt it. The entire town was obliterated.
