As the title suggest, I'd like to have your opinion on a FC-Recruitment Board.
Story time (it's small, don't worry):
My friend and I made a new FC some time ago. We had a pretty active, but small bunch (5 people). This was enough for all of us and we did a lot of stuff together. However 3 of them have pretty much quit the game and we want to recruit people.
Now this is relatively easy as we can just stand in the city states and shoutout a recruitment message. But neither of us wants to do it because we both agree that people find it annoying and spammy. We also don't want to randomly invite people because they might not fit in with us at all.
So we came up with an idea and I'd like to know your opinion of it:
A new type of board solely for the use of FC recruitment.
This in my mind should also go paired with an expansion of the Company Profile that you put together and people see when inspecting your FC.
Without further ado this is how I imagined how it worked:
First off, the company profile should be more detailed;
Have FCs enable if they are a RP, PVE or PvP FC. They can enable multiple tags at the same time. (A FC could have all tags enabled or just RP and PvE only.) Once this is filled in the FC can fill in details for each specific tag on a window that's specific to that role (RP, PvE or PvP).
General Information:
Allow a small slogan here like we already have now. Include the FC-crest and maybe a list of online FC-members to allow someone who's looking at your FC profile to message them for further questions.
Subtags for General Information (Subtags referring to the tags we currently have (Dungeons, RP, Casual, Hardcore, etc.):
- Members online at Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, every day, etc.;
- Members online around: Morning, Afternoon, Night, Midnight, all time;
- A tag to show if they're recruiting or not.
For RP:
Allow a small description of what they are going for RP wise, what their theme is and if they do events. Don't limit people to 2-4 lines of description. Make it around 1000-2000 characters if possible.
Subtags for RP:
- Events;
- Mature content. (Because let's be honest this will happen anyway.)
For PvE:
Again, allow for a small description of what the FC is aiming for and what they're looking for, between 1000-2000 characters, if possible.
Subtags for PvE:
- Removal of the "Casual" and "Hardcore" tag
- Dungeons;
- Trials;
- Extreme Trials;
- Alliance Raids;
- Raids;
- Savage Raids;
- Ultimate Raids;
- Deep Dungeons;
- Relics;
For PvP:
Again, a small description of about 1000-2000 characters.
Subtags for PvP:
- Feast
- Ranked Feast
- Rival Wings
- (Ranked) Team
So, now that we have all that information gathered and filled in, the real purpose of the board comes now: it allows players who access the board to search for Free Companies by using the tags a FC has enabled itself to. People also should have the option to rank the FCs from big to small and from small to big.
This is to make both recruiting as searching for a FC a lot easier. Smaller FCs that are looking for people might end up finding new members and a new player will have an easier time looking for a FC this way. Right now there's no way a new player can actively look for a FC with in-game help. Besides clicking on people and checking their FC.
It may also prevent some people from spamming the shout that with their FC recruitments, though that's not what this should achieve but it would be a welcome addition. (at least for me.)
TL;DR:
- A more detailed FC profile
- A new board that players can access and look for a FC and apply to it
