Thread: How long will you play 4.3 until you go on hiatus again?

I still love the game, so no hiatus here. I've been playing MMOs for nearly 20 years so I know burnout can happen fairly easily. I keep myself from burnout by making sure I take random days and do something else. I've been playing through the Kingdom Hearts series for a story refresh. So sometimes I devote a night or two to that. Or I just log into FF and do some dailies, then log off and do something else the rest of the night. Then I can really throw myself into things on the nights I do play FF. My #1 rule with MMOs is if I'm not having fun, why am I sticking around?

I just won't be playing too long as I use to since I just need to focus on my Crafting and gathering classes while dealing with personal life issues.

Probably jump in to the new Tower to level up my remaining jobs as well.

I'll probably stick around since I was mostly looking forward to Heaven-on-High and a potentially improved Eureka experience with the release of Pagos.

That said, it's looking highly doubtful I'll stick around for 4.4 if those two pieces of content disappoint. Reading through the update notes already felt like rooting around in a mostly-empty pantry for snacks when I haven't gone grocery shopping in a week. Slim pickings, and utterly underwhelming.

I just bought a house, so I must try to stay subbed for as long as possible. :|


But if it wasn't or the house, I'd probably fade away after I finished the story, grinded the raids, upped my gear a little, et cetera. I wish there were more quests for patches. I hate how short they are. Even if there aren't so many quests, at least up the amount of Manderville quests. I need more of SOMETHING! xD (Although, it might just be my opinion, Manderville was the best in ARR and started to slack off in HW & SB. Only thing good about ARR. XD)

Forever, currently no games to quench my thirst as of late

Well, my last hiatus was in 2015 because my video card died. Even when I conclude history, I continued doing daly hunt every day, besides farm tomestome for update jobs (I play more as Bard and Scholar). I have some 300 days of /playtime and not yet bored o.o I never did raid of 8 people and trial version Extreme, but still love doing simple stuff around as roulette leveling.

But leveling tank/melee job is boring for me xD Because that I still do not have all jobs lv70.

Probably won’t play for long or just log in for dailies/weeklies nothing really comes with this patch but a dungeon, trial and locked loot 24 man....all the good stuff is later down the line like ultimate, pagos and deep dungeon

If the new primal is as simple as byakko I won’t be playing long. Get through MSQ and then wait for new eureka I suppose. I haven’t been playing much because this game has lost lustre for me - I’m not burnt out. I wonder how many people have just decided not to play because of lost interest or burnout. Two completely different things

My sub is always active. It doesn't cost much.
