It only bothers me because Haurchefant was given no such armor. I was actually a bit emotional when it looked like Nanamo had died but, lol it was just a prank bro. Haurchefant though? Yeah he's gone forever, sorry. Plus the fact, as other have said, we keep getting faked out now.. Like, 'Oh no! Aymeric has been stabbed?!' lolol he's fine.. Not that I want to lose another husbando but why is it okay to murder one and brush the other's attack off like it was no real inconvenience.
If a certain attractive enemy isn't as dead as we were lead to believe I may be a bit perturbed at that as well.. It would have been disappointing if it had ended that soon, don't get me wrong but why has only one (really prominent) character been given a permadeath while everyone else gets to come and go as they please?

I was really upset when I thought he'd been killed. But as for him being fine afterwards.... I'm still not 100% certain. There was one scene later where he was suddenly in pain because his wound had opened up again, and then "fine again" after that (and ever since), but I'm still a little wary as to whether it'll come up again sometime later. Otherwise it seems like there was barely a point to it happening, beyond brief shock value.
(I was more annoyed that he accompanied us on that Vault raid immediately after. He should at least have been out of action for that.)

I meant 'fine' as in still alive, sorry. I know he was kinda out of commission for a bit but at least we didn't have to bury him. :/

I don't think I could have handled the loss of 2 Bro level NPCs in so short a time frame.
RIP in spaghetti, never forgetti, Brochefaunt.

I honestly would have quit the game and never looked back.

Yeah, I realise that - but being actually stabbed, an emphasis on him being injured, randomly in pain later... and then it's kind of gone nowhere. He might as well have had a close miss with someone *trying* to stab him but getting caught just in time, or only giving him a minor injury. It would still give the same demonstration that people are unhappy enough to attempt to kill him, without requiring too much suspension of disbelief.

You're not really describing plot armor. All of these npcs can die. Just the same way they can be in two places at once. It's a video game contrivance, and has no bearing on the plot.
