I recall folks using Punishing Barbs for a time and Aegis Boon and slaying enemies way higher than they were supposed to.
Although, that was before NMs, so I guess it didn't serve any purpose.
edit: And using Guard between Stygian Spikes would grant so much MP that Cure could be used indefinitely. No need for a Gladiator tank, when you can Mage Tank! AoE Cure, shield, Stygian Spikes, damage shield.

Well, I'm not saying it was perfect.
Just saying I (personally) thought it took more skill than it does now.
Ah! Understood. I'm not sure how I feel about the new system. I think I don't like the abilities, but I dooo like the exclusive traits. Perhaps if the old system had some more exclusive traits and re-evaluated their less sexier abilities.
i.e. debuffs lasting longer, slightly shorter cooldowns on crowd control-debilitating effects (Sleep, Silence, Slow, rooting, snaring, Paralyze, etc.)
Yeah I agree, the new trait system is great. I do agree with you there.
I havn't been able to get myself to play since 1.20.
Part of me wonders if I'll bother even when 2.0 is out.
CLAIRE PENDRAGON
Disagree. If he were to do that right now he'll most likely die on every try.
Now I wouldn't go as far as to say that the new system is bad, (in my opinion) they just should just put back some skill into the game instead of just "be on this side of the enemy to combo".
