Your translation does nothing to clarify the issue as it doesn't say whether it means "all the furniture superimposed with the aquarium" or "all the furniture superimposed with other furniture."Google translation:
It is confirmed that aquariums can be stacked when moving a desk furniture with the aquarium on the desktop.
※ There is a possibility of occurrence of further unexpected troubles by overlapping aquarium, and since it is possible that all the furniture superimposed at the time of this trouble correction may be removed, please do not use this trouble.
So just be sure that nothing clip with your aquarium and everything should be right
Did you really just come in here to brag about not clipping? >x>
Just came here to brag about not clipping. Seems like i offended people by being bad at sarcasm
Waitied for someone to respond tho. Lets add a like
also My house has lotsa overlapps and "glitches".
. If they suddenly want to "delete" all the glitches, stacks and clips. They should REALLY stop making OBVIOUS items where you CANNOT put furnitures on it. The items r divived into categories with their own "functionality" which is a bother sometimes and you reallt have to puzzle stuff w/overlapp,glitch etc.. until you be happy with the piece u made. But the housing system in general(not countind overlaps etc) is strict and dull.
Iff i want 4 aquarium to float and make a mini sofa land beneath it they should allow me if the system allows players to(overlapp etc) do so.
Kinda wanted to get to my point but i excecuted it so bad.
Like lilseph said.

Google translate isnt exactly known for its accuracy

I find it very hard to believe they'd actually delete peoples furnishings, in all honesty. It's still pretty upsetting to see that SE is starting to look at housing "glitches" as things that need to be addressed, regardless. Like, why on earth should they devote resources to finding ways to limit player creativity, as opposed to, you know, actual improvements to housing.
And I still fail to understand why stacking aquariums is so horri.. wait... I got this. Extra-extra-large Capacity Aquariums: coming to the mogstore. Please look forward to it.

I'm a little suspicious of Square anymore too, but from the context its pretty clear they aren't trying to remove any of the housing glitches used for decoration nor are they purposefully deleting anyone's furniture. They described the error that resulted in furnishing destruction as a critical issue and it is that issue they're referring to in the OP's quote. The unintended destruction of furniture that overlaps with aquariums is the issue they're working to fix. They aren't talking about overlapping furniture as a whole as the thing that needs correcting.I find it very hard to believe they'd actually delete peoples furnishings, in all honesty. Once the destruction of furniture glitch is figured out I'm sure you'll be able to stack aquariums to your heart's content.
Edit: I misread the patch notes, please disregard this comment!

So.. I have a medium aquarium floating on a partition courtesy of a shelf making that possible and a replica katana furnishing floating just above the aquarium to make it look like it's sitting on top of it. There's definitely no clipping thanks to my ocd placement, so is it still grounds for deletion? That would suck if it is because getting that set up in the first place was a trial in itself because visible open spaces are evil.
That's not what they said. They said that the fix will destroy furniture.I'm a little suspicious of Square anymore too, but from the context its pretty clear they aren't trying to remove any of the housing glitches used for decoration nor are they purposefully deleting anyone's furniture. What they actually will do remains to be seen.
Unless they've addressed this elsewhere other than in the patch notes, right now, all anyone is doing is speculating. I'm glad that some folks are getting a different reading out of it and feel that we shouldn't worry, but until there's either clarification in a dev post or blog entry, nobody's going to know what they mean or intend.
While seeing how Fashion Report stays far truer to every other language than English does make me hopeful that we can breathe easier and that it's just aquarium clipping that's going to be fixed, this is a serious issue for someone who enjoys housing and I'm not going to just assume it's fine and go about my business. My house and FC house are 75% clipping/floating/glitching, and if they randomly hotfix this and I lose half of that, I'm going to be livid.
There's nothing I can do besides bump this thread and hope for a response, but seeing that they saw fit to respond on a thread asking about the retroactive status of glamour dresser items put in pre 4.3, I'd hope they can address this, too, since if they're going to make a change that could fundamentally change the way a majority of the players approach housing, I'd like some notice to go in and remove the 'offending' items.
Do I have to resub just to prevent my furnishing from being deleted? I was going to wait until the Eureka patch...
There are really two issues. The first is SE hasn't clearly explained what the problem is that needs or will need fixing. Doing this would go a long way in helping to clarify the warning. The second is the warning itself needs to be more concise about what conditions it pertains to and the consequences of meeting those conditions. Not speaking or reading Japanese I cannot tell if the original text, the translation or both are the problem. I could see this statement coming from someone like YoshiP who was told the technical details but because he doesn't understand the technical very well loses the full context. Likewise SE's translators have been far from competent many times and are likely non-technical as well so could also be at fault.
