    Beast Tribes: Are there strictly BETTER options?

    In regards to which tribe to raise reputation with for certain classes (Caster vs Ranged vs Melee)?

    I ask because I've started the Kojin rep grind in Stormblood, just want to know what I'm getting into before I sink a bunch of time into their dailies.

    Or do they all have relatively similar rewards?

    The only difference between the beast tribes is some are for combat jobs and some are for non-combat classes.

    Combat: Amalj'aa, Sylphs, Kobolds, Sahagin, Vanu Vanu, Vath, Ananta, Kojin
    Crafting: Ixal, Moogles, Namazu (4.3)
    Gathering: Namazu (4.3)

    The HW and SB quests will require you to do them on the job you accepted the quest with, and will scale to that job's level (up to the tribe's expansion's cap), but there won't be any differences in mechanics or set difficulty.

    Which specific job you do the quests on doesn't matter. The HW and SB quests will require you to complete them on the job you accepted the quest with, and will scale to that job's level (up to the tribe's expansion's cap).
    So long story short, the differences are cosmetic? Good to know.

    the ARR ones give materials for crafter, but it's long outdated stuff and you unlock it early.

    Amalj'aa > Blacksmith and Armorer
    Kobolds > Alchemist
    Sylphs > Weaver
    Sahagin > Culinarian
    Ixal > Carpenter

    they also unlock dyes.

    the Vath from HW give you training food for your chocobo wich you also can use as a kind of buffood when your chocobo fights alongside you.

    And minions, housing items. Some of them now have music if you're into collecting those. Also when you max rank ARR and HW beast tribes they have a special quest where you deal with all of them to defeat a common foe. I'm going to assume that for SB once people have max rank with the namazu there will be a quest for those three as that story line is not finished.
